If he has an injured hamstring, they wouldn't make him stand for 4 hrs

I reported his answer, you take it as given,  I never beliveve them, I asked him again today said same thing,

He was jogging around Gosch's as well this morning at half pace, so obviously not that bad

I'll take your last sentence and add you to my ignore(ant) list

Haha.

I always say it all along, players are taught to play a straight bat with supporters and the media. Doesn't matter if your Mark Stevens or Saty. Your not worth spilling out valid information that will be leaked into the public.

Best case scenario:

Returns to Casey on March 18/19 and ready to go for round 1.

Worse case scenario - runs out of time and is forced to play for Casey during the opening round weekend due to lack of preparation.

Our small forward department is becoming a concern for the early rounds.

Did you just say that or do I need to check my eyes?

You never believe them?

Hang on.

Wait on now.

What?

From what I saw at training this morning he was in rehab group and really only boxing but I did miss first half hour so maybe he was more active then?

Listen Scoop, if you didn't believe him you wouldn't have shared your conversation and used the words "he's fine".

I personaly don't believe what a player tells me in regard to an injury, I ask and report/quote the answer, up to readers to decide, Jeff said "I'm fine", not me

He ran a couple of 3/4 pace laps with Crossy, then a couple of jogging laps, did a bit of lateral movement exercises as well

As you are privy to information as I am, I decide what to put on here, so only a small amount of the information I have appears

In Jeff Garlett's case, you get a straight bat to every question,  same with Dean Kent and a couple of others, other players are more forthcoming but they trust me not to put on here

So let me get this straight. You don't believe anything a players says about their injury. Why do you ask then? And why, prey tell do you post their answers on DL? My head hurts.

Correct, the reason, there are some posters and readers on here who read what I post, albeit in a non judgemental way, who can happily make their own judgement on the veracity of a reply from a player

Jeff Garlett, Dean Kent, Nathan Jones and a couple of others would tell you/me they were fine if they were carrying a broken leg, others will tell me exactly what the issue is but not to advertise, even then I wonder whether I am getting the truth

Jeff Garlett, in this case, probably has a slighty different opinion on the lenght of time he will be out, hence his reply to me, he looked to have no obvious discomfort today when 3/4 pace running

Today in no particular order I spoke/talked to Goody, Sam Frost, Josh Wagner, Dean Kent, Jack Trengove, Jeff Garlett, Nev Jetta, Dion Johnston, Jack Watts and JKH (only because he was making off with my scooter)

What? What does being non judgmental or non judgmental have to do with anything? You - not someone else - said you never believe a player's answer about an injury.

If you never believe a player on what basis can someone receiving that information second hand 'happily make their own judgement on the veracity of a reply from a player'.

I post the reply from the player, not my interpretation of what the player said, therefore readers can make there own judgement

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
