I'll definitely not buy one.

That logo smack bang in the middle would do nothing but amplify my beer gut.

Neither will I Steve.

However every jumper looks that way on me.

Let's hope the 'pre sale' is code for supporters letting the club know that it sucks arse and they'll halt production.

Whilst I prefer last years I don't think there's all that much difference. This one has more red and blue in the right spots. Yes I'd rather the monogram than the logo but I'm not overly worried. Isn't popular on demonland but i think the kids will like it. Compare to last year:

So much better, Ik alot hate the white but at least this looks the person who made it should get paid.
The other which it makes me sick that somebody got paid to put the logo on a white background!

There's nothing we can do about the white, the AFL will just never give a [censored] about our heritage colours unless we become one of the "power" clubs (aka overflowing in money).

But just slapping that logo on a white background is beyond hideous. It's lazy, looks cheap, and is such a huge step backwards.

I haven't voted because I neither love it nor hate it. Could we please have an Ambivalent option?

The shield is an integral part of the brand.

I don't understand the need to change it (what felt like) every year.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with this year's jumper.

Could be 'cos they want you to buy a new one every year!  (Think it's called "Marketing"...!)

It's a combination of the AFL requirement for a predominantly white clash guernsey with our integral shield brand.  You've invented some new brand by dropping the shield.

We're talking about football, SWYL, not the Australian cricket team.

That jumper above would suit the Australian XI Choirboys...

Can you please send this to the club, along with a petition requesting they swap the 2017 guernsey with this?

Not sure if AHG would be too thrilled at being replaced by Energy Watch on the back of the Jumper!!  LOL

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
