Finally! Now as per Olisik those slackasse recruiters can stop mucking around and get on with the Hibberd trade.

Patience Grasshopper Patience. I'm guessing we haven't done that one yet because we are juggling the 2nd rounder for someone else. Possibly Rockcliff.

In the context of our history, poor recruiting, reputation in the footy world this is huge. Really huge. Hated Lewis as a Hawk but well.....thats all going to change. Huge feather in the club cap if this comes off.  Also Goodwin, whose popularity with the players is well known. After Clarkson he would be a breath of fresh air for Lewis.

Trade radio:

We're expecting confirmation any minute that Hawk Jordan Lewis has officially been traded to Melbourne.

Stay tuned.

Can't keep up with this thread!

Don't blink stuie, we could have Rocky and Tippett before you know it. I love Josh Mahoney and his na nothing much planned routine. He has some serious sleeves, and plenty of rabbits.

Haha true. You'd think people would have learned after his magic show last year. Mahoudini strikes again!

3rd AND 4th Round pick is what I believe. Is that overs?

Can't see it being two picks, based on the Mitchell precedent.

Yes, only because we have to use a minimum of 3 draft picks and if that's the case and we get Hibberd our first pick will be around 80.

I'd be okay with that. I was happy to part with a third round pick. Fourth round is packet of twisties territory.

Hah.  At this rate, it's quite possible we won't participate in the draft at all if we decide to promote a rookie or two.

Have to take at least three draftees don't we?

No but it would be great to down grade one or both of those, as in our 3rd and fourth for their third and/or fourth. That way we stay in the draft without having to use picks in the hundreds

That's what i am thinking mate, upgrade Wagner and Smith and maybe use that pick 80 on someone like Tim Smith if he's still around at that stage

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
