Heath Shaw certainly loves mouthing off against his teammates.  I wonder how effective it is.....or counterproductive?

The Swans are in the box seat now. Whoever wins this will be tired and sore.

Indeed chook - I just made the same comment to the squeeze. And you can add in an extra day for recovery.

Not so certain. Was it last year or the years before or maybe both, Hawks had a tough PF, opponents an easy one.......

any chance Stringer could do something for his team probably same goes for Cameron for GWS.

How funny is it when heath Shaw just goes off his head at his teammates. When that last goal was kicked he went nuts at them.

Half time, top game. Dogs to win this, all they have to do is get someone from Footscray to tell Shaw in front of his own players to "stop abusing your players"

Get the feeling that one side will break this open in the 3rd.

Giants wasting Mummy's dominance while Roughhead off.

Makes you wanna puke when you see all these sell outs and free picks running around on the verge of making the grand final.

If there is a footy god, Doggies get up!

Luke Darcy's barracking is puke inducing. I want to punch him through the screen.

This is the new umpiring (AFL) rationale of not favouring GWS. From now on boys, don't pay any free kicks at all.

Scully seems to handball first rather than kick. Gets it a lot but is not damaging as his handballs tonight have not released players.

Like him or not Heath Shaw is  a big part of this team. He has been well held so far.

Getting a bit sick of all these GWS hits to the face away from the play and right in front of umpires, Picken & just then Dickson.

The Giants have the chance to prove they are not just parasites draining the game of any community goodwill the Afl has built up in over 150 years, mostly a by the Mfc.

Hard not to get excited by them.

Scriptwriter is lazy and cruel, GWS are obviously going to finish this game off in a 5 min patch despite being dominated. Such is the fate of the team that has a premiership drought and nervously misses shots all day.

The whole commentary team is a disgrace.......to humanity.

Time for Bont and Skinner to stand up.

Lack of marking forward is killing them.

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
