Where's rpfc?

Anyone knows what's happened to rpfc? Disappeared and hasn't visited here since July 3. Old sparring partner of mine. Has been quieter of recent but has a formidable body of work of over 17,000 posts. I hope he is alright.

Didn't Luded get a holiday for a distasteful post not long back?

Luded and Curry got well deserved holidays. Pure and simply both won't be missed.

rpfc i hope is ok.. I enjoyed reading his work and definitely was s regular. Just seemed to have vanished without a trace.

Yeah I pm'd rpfc last week just saying I hope all is ok.

No reply though.

maybe he got a life? or a job with stricter internet security!

We lost to St Kilda at Etihad for the 900th time. Enough to send anyone over the edge and lose their [censored]

Gee DL must have had the book thrown at him because he has been off air for months.

Is this going to become a thread about the basis of bans and who deserves them,  because I'm out.

One, because I'm no angel, and two, because I'm FIIK why some some argumentative individuals remain and others don't.

? He's not retiring along with DC Cometti, is he by chance ?

Yes, I have missed rpfc.

I wondered if, like happens to me sometimes, a modicum of success makes watching the footy alone enough for me.

I'm drawn here more when we're not traveling quite so well.

I'm the opposite these days. A bad loss and I'm the [censored] outta here.

Speaking of old favourites, any one know what happened to Yze Magic?

He's not Hogan's Hero's by any chance?

YM was delisted from 'Land and is now in the bush teaching talented kids to post on rural football web sites.

Finally got drafted.

I was once wrongly suspected of being YM because by co-incidence I had joined DL on the very same day he got banned permanently.

Back to rpfc. At this stage no one can shed any info and that he cannot be contacted is a worry. His posting output started declining about a year to 18 months ago but was still a regular.

Kinda agree actually.

If we're winning, I'm satisfied for a while just basking in that.

If it's immediately after a loss, I stay away.

If we're middling or it's been a while since a decisive result, it's like I'm searching for answers and I'm somehow going to find them on 'land.

I've assumed he got too busy, probably with the coaching caper, or work.

It has happened to me at times, but I've found ways to sandwich in time for this place again, against my better judgment.

  • REPORT: Richmond

The fans who turned up to the MCG for Melbourne’s Anzac Day Eve clash against Richmond would have been disappointed if they turned up to see a great spectacle. As much as this was a night for the 71,635 in attendance to commemorate heroes of the nation’s past wars, it was also a time for the Melbourne Football Club to consolidate upon its first win after a horrific start to the 2025 season. On this basis, despite the fact that it was an uninspiring and dour struggle for most of its 100 minutes, the night will be one for the fans to remember. They certainly got value out of the pre match activity honouring those who fought for their country. The MCG and the lights of the city as backdrop was made for nights such as these and, in my view, we received a more inspirational ceremony of Anzac culture than others both here and elsewhere around the country.

  • CASEY: Richmond

The match up of teams competing in our great Aussie game at its second highest level is a rarity for a work day Thursday morning but the blustery conditions that met the players at a windswept Casey Fields was something far more commonplace. They turned the opening stanza between the Casey Demons and a somewhat depleted Richmond VFL into a mess of fumbling unforced errors, spilt marks and wasted opportunities for both sides but they did set up a significant win for the home team which is exactly what transpired on this Anzac Day round opener. Casey opened up strong against the breeze with the first goal to Aidan Johnson, the Tigers quickly responded and the game degenerated into a defensive slog and the teams were level when the first siren sounded.

After five consecutive defeats, the Demons have now notched up back-to-back victories, comfortably accounting for the Tigers in the traditional ANZAC Eve clash. They surged to a commanding 44-point lead early in the final quarter before easing off the pedal, resting skipper Max Gawn and conceding the last four goals of the game to close out a solid 20-point win.
