The most unconvincing win ive ever witnessed.

So many issues that we repeat and get ourselves into trouble.

Big Max and Watts stand up - the rest ranged from good to absolute putrid.

I'll take it.  It was the worst game of football that I've seen in a long time, but we won.  Did we deserve it?  No, but then we deserved to win last week so it works both ways.

I'll let the others go with the negatives as there were plenty and I hate typing them out.

Positives - Jack Watts stood up for us today which was fantastic.  Stretch was good, after a poor first quarter and a half Vanders was a bit of X-Factor up forward, Petracca showed some flashes of brilliance, Brayshaw seems to be getting back to form and I thought our backline stood up well under pressure, especially considering how poorly we turned the ball over through the middle and up forward.

If we play like that next week Hawthorn will MURDER us, but consider this:

We now have 8 wins, 1 more than last year, and we still have 4 chances to build on it.  Let's hope we can.

Nearly in tears. I'm so proud of Jack Watts. After all the pressure and criticism he's endured over the years, he's finally becoming the player and leader we always needed.

Found a way to win, when was the last time someone said that about us.

It's improving

I only know we won because I heard the team song at the end.

Pathetic, anyone who thinks there were positives out of this game needs their head checked.

I have serious concerns about our coaching going forward. Our structure and inability to carry out the most simple of football decisions afrer almost three years is frightening.

I get what you're saying, but we have 8 wins now.  If we hadn't improved then we wouldn't be at that point.  Yes, we were abysmal, but the abysmal Melbourne of years gone by would have been beaten today by 8 goals.

Thank goodness my little terror decided he didn't want his afternoon nap, so I missed the last 7 mins. Please tell me they didn't celebrate like it was winning a flag?

I'm spent after that tbh.

The non-HTB call at the death was absolutely extraordinary.

I literally drank half a bottle of Baron Samedi during the last 10 minutes of the game.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
