Sorry mate but when i read it online it didn't have the paywall on it. I was able to access it but seem others can't now.

Yep I have the paywall issue :(

I did also note an interesting article on the Adelaide Addy re Trengove and Lachie Neale being mates from way back.

Very good article about a kld who is still finding his feet in the man's world of AFL football.  The mind boggles at the heights he could reach in the next few years.  A bloody ripper, that's for sure.  So happy that he wears red and blue when he seemed destined to be a Saint.

Great article but this quote made me a bit queasy.

“We’ve actually had five knees in five years in the family,” he says.

“Not all ACLs and they were all self-inflicted, but my brother did his PCL before me, and my (other) brother did his ACL (five) weeks ago.”

I still can't believe Petracca slid through to 2. It is something I don't think I will ever understand.

I will give you my answer in about 4 years when we have had sufficient time to evaluate Tracc versus McCartin

i thought until recently Weitering was certain to win the Rising star, and i think he probably still will but Gee Track is going to give it a real shake.

For some reason despite how good Christian Petracca plays in the latter part of the season, I have a feeling the AFL would push for Wietering to win it over us. Could you imagine..our key position player last year winning it over Carltons midfielder and then our midfielder winning it over theirs this year...lol

It was all about price for key fwds. Boyd and Buddy signing big deals spooked the Saints.

Enjoyed that, especially an insight on how he felt last year and his positivity for the future. The fact he was no.2, the fact he went down so early in the preseason and Brayshaw's form put him massively under the radar. Then his injury this season made me feel his career will be somewhat plagued. The fact he was significant in such a poor team performance V Sydney gives me hope he's a guy not afraid to dominate and we need a couple of them

Great work .

I hope the media just repeat the same facts for the next 15 years about his basketball career as a junior.

I loved it when they mentioned MU every time Brad Green got the pill.

Showed their brilliant research skills.

He's something we've lacked for almost as long as I can remember. He's a game breaker, he's someone that when the game is on the line you want it in his hands and he wants it in his hands. He'll be the one that'll pluck that incredible goal out of nothing, or burst through the pack at the last stoppage of the game and deliver it lace out to Hogan. He will win games off his own boot.

And he's ours.

Pates If he gets half way to that amazing outlook I would be a happy Demon. Having said that I do think he will be one of 3 future champs for us provided we can seal the deal with Hulk post 2017. However,  being a wounded warrior over many decades I tend to take the "seeing Is believing" route nowadays

Good article, but his second goal against the Suns is chronically underrated and didn't get a mention in this piece.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
