We should send flowers to the Richmond medical staff if he ever plays again.

It would be the decent thing.

Biff, have you organised this yet??

My partner is having her 40th on Saturday, we've hired a villa in Tuscany, and have friends flying from everywhere for a James Bond fancy dress party. I think James Bond is going to have a demons scarf on.

Ingen, hope you didnt mind me having a peek at your Twitter, so I have to ask - any relation?

So happy for Jack. A long time coming and so well deserved. As I've said before, this feels like the end of our dark period and Jack mirrors that horror journey so well.

I just hope this is the end now and we get to enjoy 100 more games from him.

My first game of 2016 and I'm just beyond excited to cheer him on, even though I think we will get smashed.

Youre back in Oz jaded?  Every post I see of yours seems like youre in a different corner of the globe

I don't know about the rest of you but I've just done this in SC.

Out: Ben Kennedy

In: Jack Trengove

At $156,000 it's freed up some cash and I reckon he'll score well.

I'm gonna wait a couple of weeks but he's a highly likely downgrade :)

Before his injury he was fairly consistent with his scoring, so i reckon he's a great value pick

I've been toTuscany.

Tried to explain to them how to make ham, cheese , wine etc but they insist on using outdated methods.

The bridge in town needs replacing - old and worn.

The Dome was a let down. Not up to state library standards.

Statues of naked men line the streets.under the guise of art.

i saw 50 hunters chasing 3 quail.

They have nice shirts, pink jeans and rugby tops but they are basically Sydney Bankers with accents.

The drugs are really becoming an issue.

I'm back in this corner of the globe, yes.

Didn't miss anything while I was away except footy* and Melbourne coffee.

Happy the club waited for me to give Trenners a game, not happy the AFL decided to schedule a game against the Hawks for this weekend.

*debatable- only missed the footy when we were winning

Very sad I can't watch the game today.
My wife bought tickets to Universal Studios Japan so while Jack is coming back, I will most likely be in the grasp of a mechanical pteradactyl. I will watch it when I get home but I am disappointed. I nearly teared up when I saw the footage of the announcement being made on the training track.
All the best for today Trenners and hopefully we can get up for the win.

Completed the drive down from Mildura just to see the man back in the red and blue. Can handle a loss as long as he gets a few kicks and shows some good signs.

Congrats Jack, you're a champ in my eyes

Given that he hadn't played for over 2Y, and it was in horrible conditions against a strong team, I thought that he acquitted himself admirably.

19 disposals - can  surely get back into the pace of things over the next few weeks.

Well done Jack and welcome back.

He can only get better from here too.  With the first game back, and the nerves, out of the way hopefully he can settle in and become an important cog in the side during the second half of the year.

He got better as the game went on. His last quarter was great, picked up 9 disposals early in that last qtr when the game was still in the balance. His effort in the marking contest against a much bigger body in Mcevoy, then to follow up and beat a second Hawk at ground level was superb. Winning a two on one through pure determination was great to see and shows the character and grit of Jack. Glad to have him back in the side and think he will be valuable for us.

2024 Player Reviews: #31 Bayley Fritsch

Once again the club’s top goal scorer but he had a few uncharacteristic flat spots during the season and the club will be looking for much better from him in 2025. After sustaining a torn ACL in the final match of the 2023 season Jake added a bit to the attack late in the 2024 season upon his return. He has re-signed on to the Demons for 1 more season in 2025. Date of Birth: 12 August 1991 Height: 186cm Games MFC 2024: 8 Career Total: 229 Goals MFC 2024: 8 Career Total: 188

2024 Player Reviews: #3 Christian Salem

The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence. The first round draft pick at #13 from twelve months ago the strongly built medium forward has had an impressive introduction to AFL football and is expected to spend more midfield moments as his career progresses. 2024 Player Reviews: #42 Daniel Turner

The move of “Disco” to a key forward post looks like bearing fruit. Turner has good hands, moves well and appears to be learning the forward craft well. Will be an interesting watch in 2025. 2024 Player Reviews: #13 Clayton Oliver

Lack of preparation after a problematic preseason prevented Oliver from reaching the high standards set before last year’s hamstring woes. He carried injury right through the back half of the season and was controversially involved in a potential move during the trade period that was ultimately shut down by the club. BLOODY BLUES by Meggs

The conclusion to Narrm’s home and away season was the inevitable let down by the bloody Blues  who meekly capitulated to the Bombers.   The 2024 season fixture handicapped the Demons chances from the get-go with Port Adelaide, Brisbane and Essendon advantaged with enough gimme games to ensure a tough road to the finals, especially after a slew of early season injuries to star players cost wins and percentage.     As we strode confidently through the gates of Prin

Melbourne’s most important player who dominated the first half of the season until his untimely injury in the Kings Birthday clash put an end to his season. At the time, he was on his way to many personal honours and the club in strong finals contention. When the season did end for Melbourne and Petracca was slowly recovering, he was engulfed in controversy about a possible move of clubs amid claims about his treatment by the club in the immediate aftermath of his injury.
