Looks like im going then!

That photo of Trac hugging Trengove got me...

There's also a bit of poetry in him returning against Hawthorn, the team he debuted against Round one 2010.

I got excited by this line; 'Although Roos said it was such an unknown if Trengove would ever play again, he added that he’s actually returned quicker than expected' - then realised it was referring to rehab time and not foot-speed. Congrats to Jack - can't wait to see him on the park. Tempting fate, but it feels as if the MFCSS is slowly lifting.

I truly dont give a shite how he plays this week. The moment he runs out will mean he has already won.

So happy for him.

I reckon I'll tear up ??

Yeah it is an incredible story really, plenty on here said he`d never play again and who could blame them. I nearly got teary just looking at that pick at training hugging Trac. Lets hope it inspires the players this weekend.

Well done trenners, bloody great effort to get back from a very nasty injury

I reckon i will tear up at the game, and my wife will call me a loser.

Was going to skip watching or listening to this game, as I thought we were in for a hiding.

Damn you Trenners, how can I ignore the game now!?

Wow.. Just wow.

A great feel good story. Hope it galvanises and inspires the team. We need his leadership.

Well i didn't think he was going to make it back

happy to be wrong. I wish him well and hope his journey inspires the whole team to accept nothing less than Victory.

Eating Breakfast right now in Bangkok Steve...

Keep in mind, this isn't just jack returning from 2 years out. It's jack returning from the initial stress fracture that he played through season 2013 with, when being burdened with the captaincy. Even though he played 22 games that year, he was never close to 100% yet played through to help his team.

All the best jack, I won't be at the game as I'm still in Asia, but I'll be keeping an eye on it and wishing you all the best.

Trenners and Trac would have spent countless hours together in the Rehab group last year. Trac would be absolutely stoked to see him back in the side.

Correct.

That photo, I've already teared up, what will Saturday bring!  What a fantastic outcome for Trenners, MFC and all supporters, bring it on!

Fabulous to have him back and into a team looking forward. Should be inspiring to all involved.

This should give the boys a real lift!

I expect us to go hammer and tongs on the weekend.

  • Thank You Simon Goodwin

As Demon fans, we’ve ridden a rollercoaster of emotions over the decades; the heartbreaks, the near misses, the wooden spoons, and the endless waiting. But through it all, we clung to hope. And then came Simon Goodwin. Before he ever wore red and blue, he was a champion in his own right. A five-time All-Australian, two-time Best and Fairest, and two-time premiership hero and Captain with Adelaide, Simon Goodwin was always destined to lead. When he transitioned from the field to the coach's box, first as an assistant at Essendon, he began shaping a new legacy.
