I've rarely seen a draftee likened to a current player actually turn out like that player.

Must've missed Cale Morton play like Adam Goodes

That's a bit harsh. Cale's arrival came in that 70-odd point demolition of the Swans back in 2010 (he ran with Goodes that day too).

It's just too bad that Cale's arrival also happened to coincide with his exit that day.

Do we really need another mid, unless he is has more impact in his play than the usual mid?

I just saw some video of Darcy and he just didn't seem to be an impact player - he actually reminded me a bit of Tom Scully.

I also saw some video of Aaron Francis - playing in the backline - he was very, very good.

If you think Jesse Hogan needs help in the forward line, we have seen Tommy Mac show what he can do up there from time to time.

We have enough mids now - flexibility at both ends is the key.

We have a lot of one paced mids, but we don't have many with a bit of zip and pace around the packs.

We got Melksham to be a runner off half back and Kennedy to add a bit of Brent Harvey like pace around the stoppages, and Parish just gives us another of that type.

It's all about balance and options, as well as pressure for spots.

We seem to have the grunt in Jones, Viney, Vandenberg etc, big bodied power in Brayshaw and Petracca, Skill with Salem and Vince, but we need pace and run.

Do we need more mids? Absolutely. In fact it remains our biggest need. The top teams have 10 a or b grade mids. How many do we have?

Mids Mids Mids for me

We have Hogan, Dawes, Pederson, TMac, OMac, Gawn, Spencer, Frost who can all pinch hit as big forwards

Lets win the ball and move the ball consistently before we worry too much about the lack of quality talls

I haven't even discussed our poor history of drafting talls or Roos's preference to go with young ready made players early in the draft. I like the sound of Hopper??? I think that's his name but in saying that I know nothing about the young lads

Parish will most likely go 3 who ever has that pick. Because of Curnow's size, I think he could slip to around pick 10 to be honest. Clubs will bid high for Mills, Hopper & Kennedy, to make the Sydney clubs use high picks. There's obviously Weitering, Schache & Francis. Weideman is more your key forward who clubs will most likely favour instead of Curnow. So in my opinion, he falls at pick 8 at least. Then there's Balic who's a gun mid. Collins who's the 2nd best key back who I don't think will go past Adelaide's 1st pick (currently 9). And then there's Tucker.

Having watched the highlight reel of Francis I would be desperate to get him. As one poster said, he can play anywhere. In the one reel we see him playing as a mid, as a forward kicking 4 goals and as a rugged high marking defender. Surely, now we've got Kennedy and with Petracca to play, a different type of long term mid would be great--one who can take seriously big marks, kick it a mile, tackle hard and, in my view at least, be a first game player.

If we take Parish instead he must be a bloody champion

Not too many who can pitch hit down back unless O McDonald can make it.

Bloody Dawes us the problem. I think he assists Hogan greatly but his lack of skill as a forward line ruckman is a big issue. If we could get a key back Id love to play Tom McD at CHF

He reminds me of a Sammy Mitchell but quicker

Reminds me of no one in particular and looks too small and light! Just my opinion!

Thinks highly of himself I believe!!

Not a big fan of what I see in his highlight reel.

I think he too small for the modern day midfielder.

He will get pushed off the ball too easily.

Same height and weight as scully who found it hard for the first 5 years to make his way through the middle.

We need 185cm 83+ kgs players.
