You do understand how [censored] ing stupid that reads, yeah?

funny if he had only said 2017 !!

Club going all out for Prestia... Pick 3 would have sealed the deal. I understand the frustration.

Dees still very confident he will be in red and blue 2016.

Called this muppet out last year and got howled down for it. Glad some are starting to wake up to themselves and realize what a phony this guy is.

Technically the trade period is in 2016, so it would still be 2016. Thanks for playing.

I'll accept that GNF says it's still a possibility...

Maynard is a tough and skilled left footed half-back flanker whose father played for MFC.

De Goey is their Brayshaw and is worth way more than Howe.

Oxley is an inconsistent, flakey half-back and isn't worth what Howe is.

Marley Williams is a mental midget with issues.

Is this the Oxley that carved us up Queens birthday?

I agree with your assessment of De Goey but Williams DID have issues which seem to be in the past. Rated above average in the Prospectus.

Yeah you haven't convinced me on Maynard at all.

Pick 3, part of a larger complicated trade. Obviously not going back to GC.

Poor save

He sounded pee'd off to me.

Whether thats from Howe back flipping to the Pies or whatever.

I certainly hope we dont get reamed on this trade. We need a win this trade season. So far its been anything but.

I think it has more to do with playing in prime time ón the big stage' so he can show off, his a show poney. only issue is will he make the team often enough to show off on the big stage. he will have a lot harder competition at Collingwood for a spot and they will not tolerate this laziness or turnovers they way we have.

MFC at trade week

"c'mon help ol' Josh out here"

"The wolves are at ol' Josh's door..."

I would add "very"

Best Pick they'll have will be 24 if they get that from St Kilda for Freeman.

And IF they dont??

Tell him it is GCS or try your luck in the draft.

OD you and I have been around for a long long time do you really reckon MFC would have the Knackers to do that I know they should you know they should Will They?

We may as well force Howe into draft. And tell Kennedy to do the same and get him with our last pick rather than waste in on a earlier trade value. We will get him for nothin anyway. Show some balls dees. We get nothin for Howe either way, but we get Kennedy at last pick anyway.

Collingwood's 2016 First Rounder is going to GWS for Treloar as well. And we wouldn't get that anyway. They're not going to give 9-12 next year for Howe.

We need to go after a player on the Pies list that walks into our best 22. Not the fringe players they will offer us like Kennedy, Broomhead or Sinclair.

We don't seem to have any interest in Seedsman or Freeman, so I'd start by asking for Marley Williams or Tom Langdon, and I'd settle for Brayden Maynard.

Brayyyyyyyyyden Mayyyyyyyyyyynard

Posted something similar a few weeks back. I would like to get Maynard or Langdon...time for them to give up something decent.

No of course not But I felt better saying it.

I think we will get a reasonable deal out of the Pies not as good as GCS perhaps but ok.

If the deal about prestia was true tell Gold Coast to trade him for pick 6 and we let Howe slip to PSD Then they have a fair chance of grabbing him as they have pick 3, would need Carlton and lions not to obviously

Pick 3, part of a larger complicated trade. Obviously not going back to GC.

So that complicated trade chip is still with one of the players in that complicated trade...

Look, either you are being sold something dodgy, or you're selling it.

Seriously GNF, why raise something like this when we know that pick 3 is out of the equation?

Yeah you haven't convinced me on Maynard at all.

Oxley has literally played 3 good games in his career and is 3 year older.

Maynard has played just as well and is tougher, better skilled, a better natural footballer and scope to play midfield. He is Hodge-like.

Another thing He said was there had been no talk to anyone about Dawes or Watts. ( excuse me if someone mentioned that earlier )

I don't think he would be worth a top 10 pick let alone a top 3 where there are better players available

Gut feel is JM is [censored] off because pick 3 was to be used for something big. Howe's change of mind has thrown other plans into disarray. No idea how Collingwood can better, let alone match what GC had offered. Particularly with Treloar and Aish in their plans.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • AFLW REPORT: St. Kilda

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
