OOC at years end, would be a really good foil for Jesse Hogan,

already has two bags of 6 goals to his name, capable of pinch hitting in the ruck

someone we might have an interest in?

Naturally, would love him, but at what cost? We should be looking to secure Hogan to a long-term deal at year's end. Ideally, we'd be aiming for a GWS mid too. Where do we find the cap space?

Not 100% sure of his trade value but I assume he wouldn't be at the top of the Suns retain list with Ablett, Martin, omeara, swallow, Bennell, lynch, kolo, Prestia and co

Hilarious....let's throw in Gysberts, Blease, Morton and Tapscott.

Surely they've been replaced with McKenzie, Bail, Grimes and Jones.

For me, Dylan Shiel is target 1.

But I think the natural progression of our midfield plus introducing petracca and Trengove back into the mix will mean we will improve in that area anyway

I'm concerned Dawes can't kick enough goals to be more than a third tall forward/ ruck so Dixon would be a great fit in that sense

I wouldn't be relying on Trengove. He's cooked. (I'm hope I'm wrong!!!)

Agreed. Pace, ball winning ability and goal kicking prowess. Shiel is the one, but we'll face very stiff competition from other Melbourne clubs, not to mention that rubbish pact Demonlanders keep banging on about.

We've got the cap room to offer him a monster deal, Sam frost and Dom Tyson to get In his ear and we have shown clear improvement so far this year so his addition would be a big one In our push for finals 2016 so I think Shiel is gettable.

Would love Dixon as well thoug! Dream off season

Our midfield still needs a lot of work, but we still lack another quality KPF and Ruckman too. Jamar ain't getting any younger and no-one is really stepping up to take over his spot.

Jumbo source is josh Mahoney saying " we feel we are in a strong position financially to retain our emerging talent and bring in a top end player into the club in the next few years "

Combined with the play for Dangerfield last year

A ruck should be one of our priorities at the end of this season...for those pushing mid, mid, mid, a good ruck gets his own ball and is an important mid creating link up around the ground and feeding the smaller mids.

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the

MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’
