Pity we lost Paul Kelly to Adelaide. He wrote a series of excellent articles for the Age during the 87 finals run that really described the euphoria, until that game at Waverly of course.

I've heard John Travolta is a real Melbourne man but he doesn't really come out to games because he prefers to keep it a secret.

Beware of fake celebrity supporters.

In the UK, the PM David Cameron was giving a televised speech and urged people to support West Ham. Unfortunately he's an Aston Villa man.

This was his explanation for the mix-up, and it's not particularly coherent:

“I want to say how sorry I am.

"All I can explain is I went past the West Ham stadium the day before and I just said the word West Indies in my speech and I was making a point about the cricket Test and all the rest of it.

“I meant to say Aston Villa and I am profoundly embarrassed.”

Makes my face screw up to see that ratbag Murdoch as a supporter. He is the biggest cheese in controlling world sport but has done bugger all for us as far as I can tell. Shameless meddler only interested in power and making more money. If one deserves a punch in the nose for getting into people's space it is him.

Probably the most evil person in the Western world. Not joking

I support Melbourne but on field performances and a persecution complex caused by Demonland posters has me wavering.

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. A couple of Demonland Trackwatchers braved the rain and headed down to Gosch's paddock to bring you their observations from the second day of Preseason training for the 1st to 4th Year players. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
