Frawley injury

HAWTHORN has suffered an early blow in its clash against Essendon, with big-name recruit James Frawley substituted out of the match in the first quarter.

Geelong BELTED at Kardinia, with Mitch 5 disposal, 2 goals...

I'm pretty over these threads, lets just worry about our own players.

At least so far we've been spared injuries, so lets not invite karma to our home.

I am also in the same boat of that im sick to death of these threads. Who gives a flying fk what happens to Frawley. We have Tom Mcdonald who is just as talented and bleeds for this club. We also have a kid name Angus Brayshaw who will be a very good player for this football club.

Care factor ?

Don't forget Hogan!

Scully and GWS getting flogged at half time.

I see small improvements in Scully this year, but Kelly and Whitfield have passed Scully as GWS second tier mids.

Griffin, Ward, Treloar, Shiel... Tier 2 - Kelly, Whitfield, Coniglio.. Tier 3 - Palmer, Scully.

Come next year, Scully will be lucky to get midfield time. I don't wish Scully any ill, he was an important trade for us.

If we didn't have Hogan, we'd be stuffed.

And if he leaves cause his teamates are weak as pizz.

That'll be it.

I don't wish Frawley ill will at all .....but with Mitch Clark ....happy whenever the karma bus comes a'knocking.....also what I don't understand ..if you're mentally fragile ...why on earth are you on social media ??

If Hogan leaves all is lost

Zero.

i have none either... nor that [censored] sooky bloke...nor the revving ute dikhead idiot

Only really interested in our current list....ever

I mean this seriously. Why does anyone care about a Hawk ?

I have very little ill feelings towards Chip. I actually think it's a rare case where FA has done right by all parties. Chip did his time at Melbourne, played some very good football with us at times and experienced some disgracefully bad times with the club. His final year was pretty average due to him being out the door already in his mind, but I can't complain about his wanting to leave. We got a good deal out of it, what more can you say.

I hope this pec injury isn't as bad as last time, really screwed him up. He was never the same afterwards.

agree with you I have no ill feeling towards Frawley, however can't help feeling that there is some karma about it.

They went okay without him last year.

This is a very good point. I keep expecting them to slow down as their stars age, but it hasn't happened yet.

Just checked out the Hawks website to read about Frawley's injury.

I was alarmed to read that the Hawks have 69,000 members. Unbelievable turnaround given its position in the 90s.

It serves to illustrate just how poorly this club has been managed prior to PJ and Roos coming on board.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
