thats why i've been thinking maybe a swap of the 2 of them, like for like mnm can try to fix Watts 'is name, & Roosy can try to instill some 'come on', in Yarran.

or a Kreuzer trade of some fashion. I think the guy will turn things around, so again its a sort of like for like.

I doubt the rumor, either Garlett or Yarran would've had to of leaked texts - why would they do that?

It doesn't benefit either of them to leak texts.

Texts leak: "others" sometimes access people's phones especially if the owner is a bit careless

He had a falling out with Mick last year if i remember correctly

. One of a growing number ??

First time he's suspended.

Chapman's a [censored].

Yarran probably hates losing and is sick of this Carlton slops. Doesn't change my opinion of him at all which is that he's exactly the type of linebreaker that we need.

to lazy for me 'George'...

Rory Sloan should be our main target, it will help if Adelaide fail this year. I know we had our chance to draft him, and apparently we told him we'd take him only to pass- but that was a different administration.

Also interesting to hear a week ago apparently he had a problem not being named Adelaide's captain. He had to be "smoothed over" has to be a chance to want out. If we can bring Sloan and another forward/relief ruckman into the fold, were flying!

we have to chase Sloane. no doubt. last year I wanted us to go after Tex, he's gone. also we need more run, Sloane would help in that area. So we should go early, & hard for Sloane.

It was a good shot by Yarran.

I wouldn't mind it if he could back it up with his football.

But it now stands out as an act of frustration.

If our club is interested in Yarran, IMO it would only be for a late pick.

Malthouse might just want to move him on. He would be frustrating to coach.

I've had a change of mind since some further reading. I see Kreuzer's issues are most likely not from his past Knee injury, or his feet, but more likely related to his running style since his early Hip issues that he had surgery for in his first year.

Sunday, 1 July 2012
Dr Peter Larkins says Blue Matthew Kreuzer will always be hampered by surgery he had when first recruited and is currently not fit enough to play in the ruck on a full time basis.

"I'd just like to remind people that he had surgery on his left hip and his right hip when he was recruited … which I thought was always going to limit how much he'd get out of a big body over the course of a 10-year career," Larkins said.

"Then he had a reconstruction of his left knee with some tendon out of his right knee. He had troubles in the reconstructed knee again last year and had surgery again on that to deal with some scar tissue.

"I've been watching him play and there's no doubt he's playing sore."

I don't think he will recover from the Hip problems.

Nice work by Yarran yesterday.

Chapman made an error of judgement.

And went down like a sack.

Nice left hook.

I'd like to see us chase Scott Selwood, I think he'd be fairly cheap and is still pretty young.

Yes Chapman has always been good at falling over, and kicking for goal though.

Also apparently i heard on D that he didn't want to come here so stiff.

Watching that i couldn't help but think that nobody has guard now and even though it was wrong it was still cleaner and classier than some of the sly stuff that goes around.

3 weeks. Same amount of time Trenners received for a perfect tackle on Dangersook.. Both actions deserved medals, not weeks out!

3 weeks is a joke.

What happened to all those "one punch" campaigns? The AFL not supporting them any more?

Weak by the tribunal, should have been 4 or 5.

Should've been more than 3. The only good to come out of this is that Chapman might finally pull his head in.

It was a face to face fight and Yarran landed one, didn't KO and probably didn't concuss, 3 weeks is fine with me.

Although Yarran probably wanted more.

in the 80's that would have been one or two matches. it was nothing really, but good tv.

I liked the comment on one of the Foxtel shows last night (can't remember whether it was league teams or afl360)... "Chapman should have got a week for going down so easily".

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the

MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’
