I don't like the fact that a knee in the back has ruined his first year, and a stud in his foot almost put him out long term as well.

The club has to stop talking about this kid, because love him as much as we do and as good as he could be - he is made of glass.

The more we build him up as a Messiah - or in Roosy's case emphasise how he ISN'T one - the more the fans will be let down when he inevitably hurts himself again.

Jesse hogan had scans on his foot on Monday after a player landed on his foot in Perth.. All clear but in doubt for Saturday.

How is this even possible.

Again, by the law of averages, he should now have at least 8 seasons completely injury-free!!

It said cleared of foot injury, save it for when the club starts talking about putting his season on ice.

Then again, they said he could be back in a month last year and it took 6.

Or he is just unlucky.

SEN just reported that scans revealed no structural injury, but likely to be rested for next NAB Challenge game.

[edit] should be noted that his foot was trod on by an opponent, so it is not the 'glass jaw' syndrome.

Must be a sore boy to need a scan after being stood on. I'm willing to bet he doesn't play this weekend. Get him in for the 3rd game or even just straight for round 1.

I knew it was too much to ask to play an entire game without at least 1 injury concern!

Screw it rest him till round 1.

I think putting a screw in it is a bit of an overreaction, and it will definitely not see him ready for Round 1. From memory, that was the issue with Clark's foot, so they took it out, now look at him go.

Vomited in my mouth when I saw the thread title...

Glad to hear he's cleared, but gee, we have all built this kid up pretty high.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
