Hoping...

#3 Oliver... bulldozing mid

#7 Weideman... classic tall marking forward

#42 Mason Redman... skilled goalkicking fwd (Gunston like)

#46 Gach Nyuon... Ruck

Close to what I was thinking. Hoping we go for Nyuon, could use another developing ruckman.

I think we should definitely take Oliver. If you look at his highlights on the Draft Machine, he is more powerful, clever, better kick and better around goals than Parish

Yeah the highlights on draft machine are enough to deliver a statement like that with confidence.

FFS.

Look, at this stage it's impossible to tell which of Parish or Oliver will be a better player in 3 years time. Not to mention whether either of them will become superstars in time.

Although nothing's more certain than the fact that whoever picks the better player in 3 years time will be hailed as a genius and whoever picks the other will be damned as an idiot.

Really? What happens if they both are good players in 3 yrs time?

It's still Parish for me. I don't see our need of an Oliver type as great with Viney, Brayshaw, And Vanders (all bullocking players with skill- Vanders taken in the rookie draft FFS), our need for a quick minded player who can lower the eyes instead of the long bomb is needed more right now.

It doesn't make sense to upgrade 6 to 3 for a player in Oliver that wasn't on the radar. It does for Parish who by all accounts was a target for the druggies who had 4&5.

Go Parish, find the "in and under" depth with a latter pick.

I can't believe anyone thinks Oliver is a better kick than Parish, in the game i watched him play, he had 16 kicks and i remember 4 hitting a target, he just bombed it long and hoped.

Talented as all of Parish, Oliver and Milera seem to be, it would be pretty disappointing to not come out of this draft with a key fwd.

Agree. Need to tick that one off at either 3 or 7.

Before Academy Selections:

#3 - Oliver (where there's smoke..........)

#7 - Weideman (hopefully he'll be available, if he is we need to pull the trigger)

#45 - Lovell (our draft pick will go up a fair few places, his height could see him slide - though it really shouldn't)

#49 - Gach Nyuon (we need some more ruck support and he may not be there come rookie draft time)

A surprise was that Carlton and Ess did not bid for any academy players.

Early on I thought GWS/Lions were going to get their top players for nicks!

Thankfully GCS and Richmond came to the rescue.

Fair chance Carlton and Ess were positioning themselves to trade up for the academy clubs early picks next year!

Did the Bulldogs blow pick 25 on Dunkley?

They expected Sydney to match the bid and they didn't.

Beveridge sure looked confused and uncertain!

Not surprised Sydney didn't take Dunkley.

He nominated them last week only after he saw where he might be drafted.

That doesn't show much desire to really commit to the Swans.

Could have been seen as just being opportunistic...not the Swans type

If Bulldogs expected Swans to match the bid they didn't do their homework very well.

what do you mean he wasn't on the radar ? how do you know that?. the journos had Melbourne and Essendon interviewing and all over Oliver. just because he came on in the second half of the year doesn't mean clubs did want him. sounds to me if we didn't take him, he was gooooone by pick 9.

Where did Rhys Mathieson end up?

I reckon he'll be a superstar like Eli Templeton.

So he'll play a great game against us & then disappear off the face of the earth?

Pick 39 to Brisbane Mach5,

So he went well outside the top 20? What a shock.

They're assembling quite the rag tag bunch of moronic loose cannons up there.

Mathieson, Mitch Robinson, Allen Christiansen, Dayne Beams...

They just need to bring Beamer & Sylvia out of retirement.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
