Robinson coming to a team he once said played "bruise free footy" is almost comical.

I'd take him though.

Truth be told, he was set up and never said the phrase himself.

When asked if he though Melb played "bruise-free-football" on the day, he was too stupid to not say "oh, I don't know about that..."

But all he really said was "oh, uh, yeah, I guess so..."

I believe the phrase came from Brereton's mouth, from memory.

Might be a better player in a better side but I think he's gone as far as he can at Melbourne.

Sums it up best for me.

Doing OK for a fringe player likely to be delisted if he's not traded - already up to his 3rd club on the "rumours" table.

I know people who do, yes.

He is a piece of work and Carlton are fed up with him.

I know him fairly well. He's rough, but he is certainly not a rubbish human. Give me a spell.

I have been reliably informed that Blease will be traded to Carlton for Mitch Robinson.

Source would like to remain anonymous.

(source would not let me post until now, when I said the link to Carlton was on twitter he gave the go ahead for me to post)

Ahhh ... I see it now ... Roos' plan for recovery is to produce a team of psycopaths in 2015.

Nothing else has worked in the past 8-9 years so why not?

Some very interesting recruitment being rumoured for the club. Not sure if coincidental or not but if Roos is targetting some controversial players it could say a lot about what he thinks of our current list.

That they are 'vanilla' personality player types!

Who knows what Roos is thinking.

I'd rate the source as very reliable though. Didn't mention if there was an exchange of picks involved in the deal or not, only the two players.

Was told 6 weeks ago by someone at Geelong that the Cats would be offering Taylor Hunt for Blease in a straight swap.

I'd be rapt if we could get anything for him.

Fark where do we sign??!!

I guess I agree, but it will be a new experience for me to loathe a Melbourne player.

Agree ET, I detest the man.

Ballantyne and Crowley are nice folk in comparison.

Don't know about Ballantyne, his teammates seem to like him and I admire the way he goes about his football. Would love him at Melbourne.

...and Crowley is supposed to be a top bloke. Not a bad player either.

Just what we need is Robinson punching people, going out to 5 am and getting his jaw broken. Go Dees.

And of course that's what he did right? Just went out and punched someone. Not get attacked and defend himself. He just assaults people. Cause he's a d1ckhead and a "rubbish human", according to people who have never met him.

Carey and Ablett are just two players in the history of the game who probably wouldn't have passed the no dheads policy. I know they were exceptional players but the fact is most clubs will have an idiot or two. We've probably got a couple on our list at the moment and a couple who left over the last couple of years would've fitted the description with ease.

When was the last time Taylor Hunt played for Geelong?

Geelong have been grooming him to be the number one run-with. Lost his place to injury so I doubt GFC would want that trade.

He played 8 of the first 9 games this year for about as many stats as Blease.

Oh sorry Blease didnt play many 1's games.

If Sam Blease is on a list next year he can think himself lucky.

If we get anything at all it will be a bonus.

Geelong are verging on delisting Hunt.

Wouldn't do a trade because we'd likely get him for free if we really want him.

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
