I must say i'm pretty surprised by this decision,

I get that Dangers family live in Geelong and he's obviously a family man and all that, but he's been at the crows for a while and has some great mates, they're further ahead of Geelong on field by some distance, some of the off field things that have happened there would have made the group even tighter and the Crows could offer more money.

adelaide or melbourne time?

Geelong time. Thats Melbourne time minus around 7 or 8 years

Family reasons to move to Geelong might be:

-His highschool girlfriend who is about to become his wife, wants to move back.

-She is the daughter of an ex Geelong Mayor

-His mother and aunt work for Frank Costa

Geelong has been limited in the salary offer of a reported $800k by what they pay Selwood.

But with the above list of connections who knows if any verbal undertakings have been made for him/his family's life post football...of course they can't be written as they would come into the salary cap.

Danger never wanted to go interstate when drafted, he nominated to finish his year 12 studies at home in Victoria, the crows took that chance

DeeZee will be devastated.

You really wouldn't have a clue.

I believe in Patrick

Can't be bothered with The Australian and Smith's a plonker.

I've never liked Dangerfield.

Smug pri*k that he is.

Hopefully we play the kitties twice next year...Bernie enjoys it :)

Haha feeling the same. Will be wasted at the cats.

Statement says he is wishing to return to "victoria"

Insert "melbournes in victoria.. there's still a chance he'll be a demon"

Clutching at very fine straws, but I noticed there was no mention of Geelong in the statement.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
