Our runners are made up of Watts, who plays in second gear, and Kent, who's been a surprise packet. Blease is another high draft pick down the drain.

There are so many holes, and there will only be more when the cancers are kicked out.

Listened to the Roos pressed. A bit worriedn that it was all about them, the players and not about us the club, players and coaches.

It is about the players. They were on the field when it happened and its not oike Roos could run out and hit up a target lace out.

I like that he says "them" because it makes it clear to the players that the result is to do with their actions on the field and not the coaches or administration. I also like that Roos recognises that the players lack belief, that his job is to improve the team and if the players dont approve they will be moved on.

I don't think the problem is talent as much as it is belief. Our club doesnt stand for much right now and the tanking strategy put us into a death spiral that Roos is doing his best to pull us out of.

The players must be made aware of the individual and collective implications of their actions.

It is the coaches job to do this and I have hope and faith that Roos can do that

We are the only team that bottomed out for 5 years while cleaning out our heart and soul players to put games into kids with poor FD structure and standards leading to poor development. We are also the onpy team on its 3rd rebuild and 7th coach during rebuild period.

I would like to see the player reviews from Sunday.Like the ones we were getting about the Casey players. Brutal and honest, warts and all. Roos spoke about the supporters and the disappointment well I think he could build a bridge and show us what he and the coaches think/thought after the game. At the moment its all a bit soft in my opinion. Did not want to say something he might have regretted. To my mind we were dished up an offensive game of shite and no one seemed overly concerned if we the supporters were offended.

Well J Mac if it has been done and the players are not delivering the coaches job is to make them pay for their ignoring (wont) or teach them (cant)

and perhaps have agame plan and a team plan that takes into account that their team mate is standing still. etc its the coaches job As I said I do have faith in Roos and I still reckon he can get these players to perform. He just hasnt found out how yet but I am sure he is trying everything coz his reputation is also on the line

it might sound silly but desperate times call for desperate measures.

If I were Roos and not sleeping because of the performance of the players Ib be ringing them up and telling to meet me at the club rooms coz they shouldnt be sleeping either.

Id then go on a long slow walk into the cold dark night and tell them few stories about the past and a team that I played for that folded. Id tell them of the many great players of that club who still have difficulty accepting the success of the renewed club located interstate but if they want to participate in that sort of a scenario they can identify it now. Id tell them of a team I went to that was absolute crap but who banded together to create their own place in history

So for you, a season is solely based on a week-to-week proposition? So after a win we're all of a sudden much better than last year, but then after a loss or two we're worse?

You have to view the season holistically. Yes, Sunday was a disgrace. It was also the first real time we've played like we did under Neeld, all year. That's 19 previous games, in a row, in which we performed at a level above last year. To write them all off in favour of the most recent result is nonsensical, myopic, and wrong.

2014 exceeds 2013 in many regards. The fact that we are not able to avoid performances like Sunday's shows we have a long way to go, but it does not mean we haven't come somewhere in the meantime.
