N.Jones - never stopped trying

Grimes - unsighted until injured

Salem - miles from ready

Watts - embarrassing and insipid

Dawes - probably not awake

Viney - horrible decision making

Frawley - scared off suitors

Tyson - prolific not effective

Dunn - played with professionalism

Kent - disposal from hell

Cross - age has wearied

Garland - was barely interested

Michie - little to commend

Vince - one great quarter

McDonald - some dumb decisions

Riley - tried but irrelevant

Barry - little to commend

Gawn - showed some skills

Howe - arrogant and lazy

Jamar - time has passed

M.Jones - was barely noticed

Jetta - loose and slow

Riley - runs in circles

Jetta - did well considering

Frawley - pick 4 please

M Jones - last chance gone

Kent - talented but dumb

Watts - frustrating as hell

Barry - won't make it

jetta was good. jones tried hard. thats all

Jamar - ripe for dropping

Cross - never gives up

Frawley - not AFL standard

Melbourne - No bounces today

Melbourne - stationary recievers everywhere

Dawes - 2nd ruck next

Gawn - Over taken Jamar

Watts - Midfield experiment over

Roos - accountability must come

Jetta - tried but beaten

Tyson- best till injured

Dawes- play at Casey

Jetta was one of only a few who can hold his head up. Cross looked horrible today, hopefully it was an aberration.

Neville Jetta: If only we could clone a version of him in every position.

Never gives up, knows what to do and where to be, and generally takes the best disposal option. Puts many of his more-skilled team-mates to shame.

Neville worked harder than most but against a rather strong tide today he was beaten, his opponent for most of the day was BOG.

If Jetta is an exmaple, lets rookie list 30 of the current list

Jetta and Jones were brilliant. Sure, we got spanked by an average outfit but that doesn't mean every player was terrible.

Is the Jetta everyone is raving about the same one whose direct opponent had 31 possessions? Sure Nev looked okay with the football, in contrast to most of his teammates, but a defender's primary job is to defend.

Possibly N.Jones aside, the analysis for the other 21 should be "was utterly sh1thouse".

Jetta has appeared in most of the media outlets best, so which direct opponent? when he picked up about 5 or 6 during the game, as part of the GWS plan was to continually rotate the midfielders, this is what caught us out a lot of time

I still think Nev was one of our best but spent a lot of time on Smith and was beaten. Not his fault as the delivery to Smith was spot on with no pressure up the ground. Yes he did rotate in the mids and it shouldn't have been a surprise to us as that's what all sides do.

Re Jetta: Most of the day he seemed to be on Rhys Palmer (10), who managed 17 possessions.

Palmer is 7, Howe played on him, Palmer kicked 4 goals.

Smith is 10, BOG...

MFC members - bitterly disappointed supporters

And how unfortunate on dozen egg night!

I mean "Member appreciation week"

Joeboy: "Frawley - scared off suitors"

Maybe it's all part of a grand plan. Given we haven't seen any semblance of a plan for the last, say, 50 years, maybe we can be forgiven for not recognising one.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
