Our form has been so bad lately that you could be forgiven for thinking we will struggle to win even 1 of them.

We need to win them both , and win them well.

Lions is at the house of death and GWS have our measure these days.

I reckon the lions are playing pretty good footy I doubt we will win either unfortunately

This is not 2012 or 2013. This year I believe every game is winnable. If I'd thought that in 2012 or 2103 my family would have had every right to have me certified as insane. There's a big difference, though, between "winnable" and "likely to be a win". None of the remaining games should we be considered favourite to win on current form.

Yeah, if we don't win them, we might miss out on finals...

We are a bad team, with a bad list - these two games are as irrelevant as the MFC right now.

We will win at least 1 more game after the bye which is well and truly needed. Crazy as it seems Meth Coast are gettable, they are a very ordinary at the moment, I watched Saturday nights game and it was very poor standard, Brissy will be better with Rockliff & Redden back in the side. I think it's time to throw Frawley forward again just for another hit up forward, so much of what we did on the weekend saw us bombing long and allowing Taylor, Mackie and Enright to take numerous uncontested marks before setting up their attacks from half back with quick ball movement which killed us along with turnovers.

Tyson & Viney are looking fatigued and the week off will be beneficial to those boys. Hopefully Crossy will be back a couple of weeks after the bye so I think we can get back to playing where we were a month or so ago. So my take is we will win one we don't expect and drop one we expect to win

I had that feeling too, until probably the Freo loss. Now they look tired and their belief has fallen away.

I think we'll beat one of GWS or Brisbane and that will be it for this year. It's a long, long road back from where the players were, to where they need to believe they can be.

Don't agree with improvement coming from newer players. They will play a part as we need to continue evolving (2010 taught us that lesson) but I see some of the players already on our list improving. When the likes of Viney, Tyson, Kent and JKH get more games under their belts they will improve.

Despite your and other deelanders doubts Trenners getting his body right will be a big positive

Decent preseasons into Garland and Salem will see improvement as will Hogan getting a good run under his belt.

For to long we have held on for players to come good and whilst I disagree with others that Toumpas wont make it I believe the line has to be drawn through many others on our list who just haven't cut it and we can no longer wait and just need to bring new kids in. I am not sure on the contract status but for me time to put the lines through these boys unless they put together something special between now and seasons end

Blease, Strauss, Tappy, Nicho, Evans, Terlich, Fitzptrick so those on top of Clark and Byrnes see 9 changes from the list allowing 4 to be drafted and 4 new players to be brough in directly.

Tough calls to be made on Mckenzie unless he can add something to his game and if we bring in another ruckman Gawn needs to be looked at seriously as a trade option. A lot of work ahead after the final siren round 23 for our Footy department

Trengove has not had a good year since 2010 PSD getting an average player back is the best I can see from him.

While there is some improvement expected from a couple of the kids I still see any major improvement coming from traded in players in 2015.

I really dont rate Brisbane but yet I cannot see us beating them becuase despite how average their side is they still seem to win or come close. We're also playing them at Etihad and I bet their record at Etihad is better than ours.

GWS I'm fairly confident (injuries pending) we'll win, that will also be my day at the presidents luncheon so I'll be taking full advantage of that.

Agreed. I don't want to see Dunn going forward again. The couple of times it's been tried this season he's provided nothing.

He's settled into his role in the backline and he's damn good at it. Just leave him there.

I hate Etihad as much as most but the last eight years we don't win games full stop.

It is not the location it is the playing group and while we have seen improvements this year it is still close to the worst in the comp.

In a couple of years time when we are winning as many as losing the location will not matter much.

I am 50/50 on both. I don't think it's all doom and gloom with those games but I don't think we are absolute certs either. It will be a good test if we are still the Melbourne of old or a new and improved model.

We absolutely must smash GWS. They have manhandled this team the last two games. The experienced group has let this club get pushed around by the likes of Geelong for almost a decade and once again they failed to stand up.

GWS and Brisbane are must-wins. If the likes of Watts, Frawley, and whoever else from the Bailey era doesn't stand up, it's time to go.

I don't agree. This attitude is part of the mire that we're in. Roos' comments on the weekend about the players slipping back into our old habits of 'woe is me' and 'this is too hard' and 'we're just not good enough' are perfect examples of that.

It may be meaningless in the context of 2014, but I think losses in these games will hurt our mental make-up. Going into the summer, if we can beat these two sides and remind ourselves 'yes, we were better than them this year' we can take some improvement out of the year and a skerrick of positivity into the off-season. Lose, and the players, for all their hard work and obvious gains this year, may not be able to fully realise how far they've come, instead of focusing on the fact that, in the end, we couldn't even beat Brisbane or GWS.

On current form we face losses all the way to the end.Brisso should win one. St Kilda could win 2 and that means we could finish last again whoopeeeeeeeeeeeee!
