Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

Blease is a deadset [censored].. Could of given a handball to panozza instead he runs into him and gives a dont argue.. Panozza couldnt beleive it..

Blease a is a selfish dud.

Clisby was horrible.. Terrible hands and turned everything over.

On the other hand I wondered why Panozza didn't cut across the back of Blease and give him a shepherd. Panozza was running into the flank boundary.

Agree with you re Clisby. Butterfingers today.

'Melbourne Football Club - Building the best alignment in the VFL'....mmm

As Roos has said several times the 2nds are really important for this club going forward - I hope they are looking at options. PJ has been awfully quiet lately - maybe he could twist the AFL's arm again and get some funding for a standalone team.

Casey is too far away for players and supporters - we should centralise. Melb Uni?... probably not.

If Panozza was close enough for Blease to give him a "don't argue", then WTF was Panozza doing asking for the handball?

GTFO of the way.

I'm sick of seeing Panozza's below-VFL standard efforts myself.

Mate he was 3 metres away and should of been given the handball straight away.. Instead blease drew the player to Panaozza and himself.. Panozza was one of the best afield mate and if you actually watched casey you would know he makes half the demon listed players look 2nd rate because he knows where to run..

I've watched enough games where he floats around acting like a spud.

Tries hard, but it's not enough.

Maybe you should get down to training and have a run then... You know... Given you are obviously a great footballer.

Getting really sick of your negative posting... Used be worth reading but that time has passed.

Nothing like a gross generalization, I have supported MFC for almost 50 years and live 10 minutes from Casey Fields.

What you meant was, Casey is to far from me and I can't be stuffed going that far, please relocate to my back yard so it makes it easy for me to attend.

Just out of curiosity, I assume you were there today to see this piece of play?

Machsy wouldn't have to be much chop to better the spuds down at Casey.

No. Obviously.

But I've watched Casey on other occasions and I'm comfortable that I know what type of player he is.

And I find him frustratingly ineffective in spite of his clear effort.

Effort clearly isn't enough for him.

NOT EXACTLY BACK IN TOWN by K C from Casey

The Casey Scorpions made the trip into town to take on the Richmond Tigers at the ME Bank Centre in Punt Road for the first time and lost their sixth game on the trot.

The result, a 35 point defeat in dismal conditions was rather flattering for a team that struggled to put together any semblance of cohesive football for the first three quarters.

The undermanned Scorpions who already had many of their usual VFL-listed players missing with injury, had to make do with a reduced number of Melbourne players when two emergencies were taken to Darwin and Jimmy Toumpas pulled out through illness.

It was a slow start under gray skies with rain threatening and the Tigers were up and about with the opening two goals. Casey struggled with its usual array of miskicks and mistakes and lost Max King early when he limped off with a knee injury. It was past the halfway mark of the first quarter, that Casey finally kicked its first goal through Michael Evans and Jake Best chipped in to level the score at 2.3.15 apiece moments later.

Unfortunately, that was the last time for the day that the Scorpions were really in the game. The Tigers kicked two more for the opening term and led by 15 points at the break.

Richmond had a tall side out on the park while Casey was light on for height especially with King out of the game. The home team also enjoyed an advantage in size and bulk and they out bustled and worried the lifeless Scorpions into error after error as they pushed to a handy 34-point lead at half time.

There was a slight improvement in intensity from the visitors after half time but they failed to gain any reward on the scoreboard with only five behinds for the third term that saw them fall in arrears by 51 points.

There were some rays of light for the ailing Scorpions which have not won a game for two months. Young midfielder Ed Morris who won the Gippsland Power Under 18s best and fairest last year, put in a stunning performance with 28 disposals, 12 tackles and a goal and was outstanding in the final term along with Nathan Page who added two to finish with three goals. Skipper Evan Panozza and defender Troy Davis were the team's workhorses setting an example for their inexperienced teammates, many of who appeared overawed but not fifth gamer Andrew Godfrey.

The Scorpions added six goals for the final term with Daniel Welsh chipping in with his maiden VFL goal at the end. The Demon listed players were hot and cold all day, the best being Aidan Riley while Sam Blease worked hard with his pace to try to lift the side.

Casey travels further afield next Saturday to Queen Elizabeth Oval in Bendigo to take on the winless Bendigo Gold who will be folding at the end of the year. On current form they should not take this game for granted.

Well I was at the game, it doesn't change my comment.

There was poor disposal from all players at times, don't just single out the players you don't like.

LEADERS OF THE PACK by The Oracle

I was asked to write a preview of this week’s Round 8 match between Melbourne and Geelong. The two clubs have a history that goes right back to the time when the game was starting to become an organised sport but it’s the present that makes the task of previewing this contest so interesting. Both clubs recently reached the pinnacle of the competition winning premiership flags in 2021 and 2022 respectively, but before the start of this season, many good judges felt their time had passed - n

    TRAINING: Monday 29th April 2024

Demonland Trackwatcher Kev Martin was on hand at Gosch's Paddock for Monday's training session and made the following observations. About 38 to 40  players down at training.  BBB walking laps.  Charlie Spargo still in rehab, doing short run throughs.  Christian Salem has full kit on and doing individual work with a trainer. He is is starting to get into some sprints. I cannot see Andy Moniz-Wakefield out there. Jack Viney and Kade Chandler have broken away from the

    DISCO INFERNO by Whispering Jack

Two weeks ago, when the curtain came down on Melbourne’s game against the Brisbane Lions, the team trudged off the MCG looking tired and despondent at the end of a tough run of games played in quick succession. In the days that followed, the fans wanted answers about their team’s lamentable performance that night and foremost among their concerns was whether the loss was a one off result of fatigue or was it due to other factor(s) of far greater consequence.  As it turns out, the answer to

TIGERS PUNT CASEY by KC from Casey

The afternoon atmosphere at the Swinburne Centre was somewhat surreal as the game between Richmond VFL and the Casey Demons unfolded on what was really a normal work day for most Melburnians. The Yarra Park precinct marched to the rhythm of city life, the trains rolled by, pedestrians walked by with their dogs and the traffic on Punt Road and Brunton Avenue swirled past while inside the arena, a football battle ensued. And what a battle it was? The Tigers came in with a record of two wins f
