GAME DAY - Round 12

Featured Replies

I've been out of town for a few weeks and thanks to the bye, I managed to miss only the last two games but it's great to be back, especially for the Collingwood game.

Worried that we might be living on the extraordinary amount of hype we've been getting across the media lately. Hope there aren't any swollen heads or anything like that.

We need a big crowd and a 5 goal win. I'll take both. :)

I'm so worried after building it up in the media all week we will get blown away

Please Melbourne, just a 10 goal win, please

My mate and his girlfriend relocated from Sydney last week. Today is their first AFL game, they both want to pick their own team to follow. I've done my part with 2 guest passes to the Redlegs.

I look at the hype factor the other way. If we were getting ahead of ourselves we wouldn't be playing like we are. Port would have built on their great start last week and burried us. No excuses today, weather is great, strong team. Momentum is building.

Beautiful weather today for footy, unfortunately we have to wait until 3.20pm for first siren so it's likely to be dusk by half time. But anyone second-guessing whether they will go today should be convinced by the shining sun outside even if it is a bit crisp.

Will be there and looking forward to Pies fans departing early in the 4th quarter

Cant wait to get down to The Wharf and smash a dew punts before getting the ferry to the G!!

I really feel a good result is brewing today! All the pies fans I know are very nervous, they think we are as difficult to play as anyone at the moment

For anyone thinking of driving, I have called to double check and was told all car parks are open.

Thought with the wet weather all week they might be closed....

Well done Al.

Silly to say this but if every MFC member got another one, we would have over 70000 members. I told you it was silly to say BUT!!!!!!

I'm just heading off. Will have a countery first. Bangers under a mountain of chips and wash it down with half a dozen pots. Should be right in the groove by game time!

The Pies fans I know hardly follow footy and are expecting another demolition today. They couldn't believe we are only $4. I'm looking forward to them being surprised.

Predicting an announcement that Tom McDonald has 're-signed today during the game

It's my birthday so i want a solid win thanks.

That is all

:)

I hope it does not become a case of

"It's my birthday and I'll cry if I want to"

Have a good one WYL!!

Genuine nerves for this one.

On the 19 tram . Left the gal with the sick baby and heading in for a couple before watching on from the MCC stand . I hope our players dont feel guilty after smashing the pies by 100 points.

Happy (lets hope) birthday 'wyl'.

Glorious day for footy. Back to a tram or train for me after a 5 minute walk to Traeger Park from the Alice Springs Quest last week. The MacDonnell Ranges make for one spectacular bakdrop.

Interesting to see how our talls combine up forward. They'll need to work hard defensively to make up for the omission of a running player. Pedersen in particular has done that this season, Gawn has layed a few crunching tackles in the past. If they do that and compete in the air hopefully we will stretch the Pies defence without conceding too much run.

And of course the midfield. Gotta be competitive in the midfield.

This is one of those games where I get incredibly nervous for the boys. Hoping for an ultra competitive display today.

Thats funny, I just walked past this fat lady dressed in Red and Blue and practicing some vocal exercises......
