Interesting news thet Jeremy Cameron might be coming onto the market. I guess that he does not appreciate their decision last weekend to play him as a key defender and with Boyd and Patton still on their lists then they (GWS) can afford to do a deal. Would certainly help resurrect Roos' plans to develop a forward line around Dawes, Hogan and Clark. It would be a massive coup if we could pull it off in luring him to us [without having to sacrifice one of our own stars in a trade].

Go hell for leather for this kid. Whatever it takes, heck throw 2 kitchen sinks at him.

We've got space in the cap and would work well in combination with Dawes and Hogan.

Dawes has a very high work-rate and often pushes up the ground and presents. Hogan would be your more stay at home type crash and bash FF, whilst Cameron is more the roaming forward, similar to Gunston.

The only problem is, we'll be one of 10 Vic clubs and 7 other interstate teams trying to get him. But get him we must.

No for mine, too expensive, won't come for less than a mill.

Perhaps we should be spending a Mill! If Roos sees a need then I am sure the rest of the team will not begrudge adding such a potentially important KPP to our side, particularly if he brings success with him I cannot see a more important player on the table for us and we would rue it if we let the opportunity slip.

This is what dreams are made of. Final piece of the puzzle should it happen. Way better than Patton and probably on a parr with Lynch as best young forward. I think we are going to have to cough. up big bucks at some stage to complete our list.

Having Tyson there may be a good start. Fingers crossed.

Big forwards take time, this one was all Australian at 19 playing in a rubbish side, he's a special talent and we should throw a couple of big deals at him and treloar

I agree DDisciple, my only question is, do you mean two standard twin bowl kitchen sinks, or do you mean the single bowl arrangement? If you are meaning the single bowl arrangement if we are able to pull that off it will be the steal of the decade!

But I do think that we would be one of the front runners in obtaining Cameron as we have the cap space and if PJ keeps us heading in the financial direction we are it wont be too far off that we will be able to pay the full salary cap.

Who gives a toss how much he costs? Leave the money issues for the bean counters and the dreaming of gun players for the fans. It really does floor me when fans would prefer to worry about player's salaries than making our side as good as possible.

Plus we have Roos re-committing and the players playing to his plan and getting results. It would be an inspired move by his manager to talk to us and it would be a massive Win-Win whatever it costs!

So everybody loves Cameron, and Viney and JKH and Nathan Jones, and Salem and Tyson and Frawley and Tommy Mc and now Dunn, how much money do you think the Club has at the moment with just 35000 members and now no support from the AFL....the Geelong and Hawthorn models are based on players all being on equal salaries and playing as a team, so was Sydney until Roos left

He wont be the first player to want out of GWS......id love to have him, and there will be more as it would be hard to get thumped every week and have no supporters in a place thats not into AFL.

There are also issues with the Coach, would be rubbing a few players up the wrong way.

I reckon Freo will go hard at him

I reckon they will throw everything at him with Pav coming to the end. Might benefit us and leave Hogan alone if they get him.

I don't understand what your point is.

You seem to just be rambling.

But what about the "go home" factor? As soon as he possibly could, he'd probably be on a bus back to the Dartmoor Giants!

I'd offer him a big front loaded contract, enough to entice him now but freeing up room as we need to start paying other blokes.

We must have a heap spare with Clark gone now.

I'm not as big on throwing the kitchen sink at Cameron as most here seem to be. I think success is built on team and committing a big chunk of salary cap to one player is not going to build long term sustainable success. I would rather spread the love.

Have you heard anything on this 'DeeZee' or is it just a feeling you have?

    TRAINING: Wednesday 19th February 2025

Demonlander The Analyser was the sole Trackwatcher out at Casey Fields today to bring you the following observations from this mornings preseason training session. Training  was at Casey today. It consisted of a match simulation for one half  and then a free choice activity time. Activities included kicking for goal,  aerial , contest work etc. I noticed the following players not in match simulation Jack Viney  running laps and looks fine for round one . I think Kolt looks like he’s im

    TRAINING: Wednesday 12th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the scorching morning heat to bring you the following observations of Wednesday's preseason training session from Gosch's Paddock. HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
