i can't understand why this guy hates the dees so badly

every time he writes or talks about melb it is in the harshest tones and full of ridicule

from his views regarding the tyson/salem/kelly trade right up to his latest crap about the viney bump it seems like he jumps at any chance to sink in the boot

anyone able to shed any light on where the hate started?

so is robbo, so is whately, so are the many many journo's who can belt the dees when we deserve it but are also able to pay credit where its due.

it just baffles the mind, specifically on the viney bump, that he can take the stand he has when even people like kev bartlett and the out going chief are questioning the verdict

The only antidote to this virulent pest is winning. There will no doubt be a surge of his crap whilst we continue to improve then he will have to shut up when the time comes he has to eat his own excrement.

Think there is some truth in this.

Also think he's the worst type of supporter in the media. Happy to jump on the Roos bandwagon when it's filling up preseason but doesn't stick by them at all during the season and calls it being impartial

Sounds plausible, but are there any examples where the Kangaroos have been in the spotlight and he has stayed silent or argued against the club or one of it's players?

Dunstall was the only one who attempted to dissect Barrett's argument.

Is there a more... annoying [censored] to listen to with his... mid-sentence, reflective pauses and know-it-all... tone? I put it to you... guys... that this beady-eyed acne scarred [censored] ... is the most annoying... [censored] on tv/radio.

......thanks...... guys.

I'm pretty sure Barrett agree's with Lyon on access all areas that it should have been thrown out..

he is a two faced slug.

Damien Barrett:

"Yeah, well..." - every time he's proven wrong.

Get stuck in Sammy.

Barrett would have been the first piece of [censored] to get stuck in if Viney had jumped out of the way.

I don't know why we waste our breath on this guy. He is not only biased, he is also extremely thick. I think we should all just ignore him. Eventually Lyon will sack him....

Some people listen to journos who have never played football, so Barrett has a job.

Personally, I don't listen to anyone who hasn't actually played the game - but that is just me, different strokes, different folks.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
