Players to target at the end of the year

Mitchell imo is ahead of zac Jones and Brandon Jack, the swans clearly think he needs to work on an area of his game and he is developing that in the seconds

Well cameron fits the profile for that small article in the herald sun. With the money we gain from

Clark and frawley which seems likely.. We'd have around 1.2mil to 1.3mil to play with. He'd be worth every cent for around that amount

Whats Whitfields status? He is exactly what we need in our midfield.

your right. Toumpas is being taught. defence, composure, attitude, mental toughness, all the things a talented skilled kid has had easier than many, & maybe hasn't learnt Yet.

but you wouldn't trade him for Dangerman?

Yes, i would trade him for Dangerfield...but i don't think Adelaide would.

As a midfielder he probably is, but neither of those players get significant time in the midfield. Zac Jones has been playing as a small defender/ tagger and Brandon Jack has been playing as a forward (and he has bucket loads of pace).

Do you think we would need to offer all of that? and how many years?

because he is still young, and so far, he hasn't produced a form like a buddy (10 mil 9 years?)

or ablett 9 mi for 5 years apparently.

Hasn't roos implied he doesn't really run with paying one player a large amount?

anyway, i was thinking 3-3.5 mil for 4 years isnt a bad deal.

4.8 mil for 4 years is a lot for a kid whose played some good footy, but not a superstar as yet.

I reckon it'd have to be a 5mil over 5 years type deal... We did pay Clark $800k and to be honest he had never set the world on fire apart from maybe one season. I wouldn't think Cameron 1mil a year would be overs he is the best young forward we've seen in awhile. Imagine him and hogan together upfront

it'd be a powerful forward line.

might allow pedersen to go back and be that hard bodied contested backman.
jeremy mighty be able to come up forward again or swing.

Add one more classy mid e.g. perhaps sheil ( which i personally see as unlikely) and we could be that much better next season.

Cameron would be brilliant to have, but another solid tall forward (even just an up and comer like Levi Casboult) would be a very handy addition.

Another classy young mid would also be great but I think the real improvement will come with adding a few hard working, hard running types that lift the standard of the bottom six players in the team. You're only as good as your bottom six.

In fairness to Jones and Jack, Mitchell would be ahead of most blokes in the league.

Kid is a hell of a talent, just an absolute ball magnet. He'd automatically be our second best player behind Jones.

It's Patton.

Any inside info on this ? Cameron would be a dream, 17 other clubs would want him so I'm not sure if we'd be his first priority. If it is Patton then we pay him half of what we pay cameron and use the other half on another young mid.. Win win

Yes, i would trade him for Dangerfield...but i don't think Adelaide would.

that wasn't the question, the question was would you let him go for a Dangerman deal. Adelaide don't want to lose anything, as we all don't.

But a deal of P-4 + Toumpas might tempt them if Danger wanted to come to Vic.

#ps I'm not in a hurry to see the back of the Toump, just trying to see what we would be prepared to do for a player such as Dangerfield, or similar.

It could just as likely be Treloar or Shiel, but would love Cameron. Imagine Cameron, Hogan and Dawes as third string. JKH, Salem and Kent at their feet. I like it. I like it a lot. We need to improve that midfield though.

EDIT. I'd be happy enough with Patton, but obviously would prefer Cameron. Also, I'm assuming that Hogan would have to ruck in that system? Currently, Pederson does, but Dawes won't want to and isn't suited to it.

That would tempt them, South Australian's rated Toumpas VERY highly.

I actually think that is a good deal for Adelaide. Toumpas will be a quality AFL player.

As good as Dangerfield is, if he wanted out, that is a good deal.

Are you for real?

I didnt see the post on the previous page, so calm your [censored] champ

Anyway...

Back on topic, I hope it is Jeremy Cameron and if we offer him 1 million a year it will be worth every cent

That would be a dream.

A dream for him - $1m a season in his fourth season ? That's Tom Scully foolishness.

He will come with a large price tag - but $1M per season. hmmmm

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
