Clear BOG, well not clear but just ahead of Nathan Jones.

Watts looked unbelievable tonight, 27 scintillating touches and the most impressive thing is that most were in heavy traffic.

He looked like he was on a whole other level to everyone else around him.

Great signs.

5 - Watts. Great game with exceptional skills, poise and decision making. Would have been 6 but he still can't tackle

4 - Dunn. Is probably now our backline leader.

3 - Vince.

2. Trengove. Magnificent for 2.5 quarters.

1. M Jones. Improved as the game went on.

Can't give Tyson a vote - the errors he made were true shockers, and took wind out of our sails when we had some momentum.

6 J. Watts - 96.3%, 27 disposals, several assists, looked like he had his own personal force field he was so hard to tackle.

5 N. Jones - Pretty sure that's the most ball he's ever had. Just worked so damn hard. Would have had him BOG if he'd kicked that goal.

4 Dunn - Best of the backs. Was forced to play on a significantly bigger opponent a lot of the night and did it well.

3 Tyson - In everything, used it pretty well, second most disposals

2 Vince - would have been higher if not for the four points next to his name.

1 Spencer - As bad as his hands are, he had 40 hitouts, gave us a lot of use of the ball and fought really hard for the ground ball. He lacks class, but his effort is huge.

Georgiou - are you kidding?

I'm happy to be corrected on this one. The times I recognised him I was happy with his effort and application. It might be a case of not not seeing him enough!

And perhaps I am being harsh on Vince. He deserved to be in the top 6, I just felt his misses really cost us.

If you were in the centre square you would expect the occasional tap from Spencer.

I was a Spencer fan and he had to go all night but so did Stanley (I think).

We lost it in the middle to the worst midfield we will see.

So we've established that Deanox knows nothing about football. Toumpas, Spencer and Georgiou. My God.

6 - Watts (reminiscent of Travis Johnstone at his best, outstanding)

5 - N. Jones (pretty close to elite status now. Have noticed he seems to have mastered a similar tactic to Selwood in getting free's)

HE got it pretty right though

I must admit I was pretty shattered after last night.

However in the cold light of Sunday morning...

6: Jones N. In doing this, I long for the day when I can regularly give my top votes to another player.

5: Watts. Could well be this bloke if he keeps showing what he did last night!

4: Dunn. Maturity, courage and leadership, he's gone from bit player to essential.

3: Vince. More than just a pretty face and a great off season pick up, but needs to kick straight.

(Maybe a few lessons from Dunny and Wattsy would help).

2: Tyson. Good game, but for a couple of bad clangers could have been a great game.

(Refer comments re Watts).

1: Spencer. An elephant stamp for effort.

And by the by, did anyone see #38 at the game? He was listed to play!
