You know dee-luded Most people who know me tell me I am positive person.

I understand why some people on Demonland think the reverse.

I believe I put the real situation case, as it happens the MFC has been a sorry mess both on and off the field for now the better part of a decade.

So putting that position naturally looks negative, I am not into gilding the lily.

I actually admire people like the Reverend who seem to be able to find some good amongst a hay stack of crap.

But if I live long enough I will be very positive when we are in the top four.

Go Dees

I desperately need a win on Saturday

HaHaHa, just taking the pissz OD...

but you do sound more enthused than past years.

I'm sure we're all pessimistic around footy season @ Melbourne, especially if you've barracked for them for over 50 Years.

Just to set you straight on Richo.....he actually tore his quad muscle completely doing squats. He has a very large scar across his buttock which he isn't happy with. It was never reported in the media & they went with the hamstring issue. Also I am sure Mitch & Richo have talked....but they are two different individuals & people cope with things differently .

Ban this imbecile once and for all.

the first time in history we actually pull off a great trade, and for the first time in a decade have a genuine elite key forward.. and what happens? Oh yeah you barrack for Melbourne

Ban this imbecile once and for all.

Done.

Earlier this evening, a decision was made to ban this poster for a month.

On reviewing his posts and his record over time, I've overruled that decision.

The ban is now permanent.

Please let that be a warning to posters who believe they can constantly offend against our code of conduct and behave in an offensive manner to others on this site.

And finally, please show the appropriate respect to Mitch and to all players on the club's list.

Well said. I don't mind alternative opinions. I don't even mind what I consider backward and even plain stupid opinions. But you got to back them up with some logic and discussion otherwise you are plainly trolling. Add insult to other posters and it's a step too far. And plain insults with no respect to players and

It's a shame you have to spend precious time and energy dealing with this crap and you have no place here.

I really hope we can get a handful of wins or more this season. This place needs it nearly as much as the club.

Looks like I missed something when I was out...

mjt went right off last night.

that'll fix him for posting after visiting the gat

mjt went right off last night.

And it is very quiet, and far more sane, today

Found it interesting that just last night H.MacIntosh played just his 7th game in over two seasons after battling constant injury, including no games in 2013.

Hopefully there's something in that for those trying to end Mitch's playing career due to his injury concerns.

could represent Mitch, an ace in the pack.

rather he was an ace on the park

What sort of insurance is this? Is it the use of insurance to pay out injured players? If so, I've never heard of this before. Can someone confirm whether such a thing exists? (Note: I'm asking a generic question about the use of insurance - not specific to Mitch Clark and whether he will continue to play or not).

Yes it does - every club has some form of insurance and all pay a healthy premium.

The analogy sounds heartless, but it's similar to horse owners taking out insurance on their gee gees.

I hope that whatever unfolds is done with respectful relationships, tact and empathy (assuming Mitch makes the dreaded call)

For mine,it's both brave and admirable that Mitch has clearly indicated that, for whatever reason, he is not travelling well. I would think that this would be daunting within an environment with such expectation.

I agree, it's great that he's spoken up.

It started in 2012' continued in 2013 and firmly into 2014.

Three is beginning to look a real possibility.

Are you looking for him to set a record?

Fairly sure it would be wise to not hold your breath bb.

not in favour of censorship, we will end up with a collective of monotonous conversations, mjt attacks mitch and gets attacked himself to the point of extinction by some moral high grounders who think only they have the mental fortitude and reason to decide what is right or wrong, some of you act like mitch is your only son ffs, it will be a very dull and self serving forum is this continues, he is a demon supporter and deserves a place on here

oh and you will probably delete this won't you

Just think of it this way lord weaver, now he is free to annoy other people on other sites.

There are ways to have a stance on the topic without going overboard. Demonland done the right thing, mjt went a bit overboard in the end.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Collingwood

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • AFLW REPORT: St. Kilda

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
