Anyone else keen on the new training jumpers?

That will be my first merchandise purchase for 2014.

The old red MFC monogram on a navy background is a Demon classic that used to be used in the old days (ie: when we were s#@t hot for those that don't know).

Interesting that it's come back to the Demons shop without any fanfare. If Cam Schwab were still around we'd have had an explanation about it.

In any case I am rapt it's back. That's $112.50 well spent.

As for the MFC twitter feed, some Norf supporting donkey called Gary Jacks has logged in to ask how much the club has to pay supporters to wear this stuff...what a plonker...logging onto opposing clubs' sites to sling off at their supporters.

I note he has a crack at the Bulldogs on his twitter account as well.

I mean really, Norf? For most of their history they were a joke.

I'd be so pleased to see a Roos lead Demons pants them - really set that coach of theirs sulking.

This looks like a REAL football jumper. I love it!

Invert the colors and shrink the monogram and we have our new clash jumper

Sorry for wanting the team to look professional.

I was being playful.

I am not a fan Craig Bradley preferred jumper style either.

Has anyone worn the new jumper?

Does it hang down under the arm?

Oh god no!

Just keep the great one we've already got.

yes it is "great" wearing a jumper that looks like the Swans or you have to ask who is playing when the TV is first turned on.

Great indeed.

I've never had that problem.

A problem that is easily solved within seconds if you have it.

Then again, I'm not mentally deficient either.

Ok!

Lets not turn this thread into a clash jumper thread.

We've already got plenty of those!

Watch your language Sunshine...no need for that...i am sure you have many faults just like all of us.

New Traing jumper is a huge improvement on what we are forced to regularly wear...

Don't agree wyl the traditional red and blue that we regularly wear is still the one!

Looks great. Simple, no p!ssy collar or pretentious stars. The emblem states who we are, not a compilation of 135 themes, ideas and feel good images like the current logo. Bloody good one MFC!

I like the emblem it has history and substance. I like the training jumper also. They're different things.

Agreed, it's fantastic! Will definitely be purchasing one.

I actually still have a red with navy monogram one which was used as a training jumper around 1993 (still has the "pioneer homes" sponsorship on it) - if not for the AFL it would be the perfect "clash" guernsey.

I've got the same one but with Tooheys blue on it. Agree it would be a perfect clash jumper.

Hmm yes red MFC on a white jumper could look good!

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
