Source for the fact that he's been sacked? Brown is past it. And that's assuming he was ever 'it'. He's a moron, a thug, and not a good footballer in the slightest. He adds nothing to a club's culture, instead detracting from it. We could genuinely not bring to the club a worse person.

Worse than Nicholson?? C'Mon

Hahaha and looked how that turn out?

Keep going though your ability to stand up for this thug and wanting him at the MFC is comedy gold at its finest!

Feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone... haha

Pickett had a very good year in 2006.

But that's despite the point, Pickett wasn't a thug and never took cheap shots, any heavy bumps/hits of his were always in play.

theres a difference between laying a big shepherd in an era where that was allowed and occasionally getting it wrong (Byron) and kicking people in face/elbowing them in the head (Brown).

C. Brown is a f log of the highest order. Tom scully is a far lesser f log.

I would rather we had no player on our list than him.

I dont see any statement from the Beiber Coast.

If they keep him on the list it is a disgrace.

The kids parents will be wanting answers.

Never liked him.Or anyone that's ever been at the Hawks for that matter.

No he wasn't.

Wrong again stuie, the 'Bump' rule changed as a result of Pickett.

Brown is a better player than Nicho. Yes Brown is a thug on the field, but I would like to see a MFC player (or few) who intimidated the opposition. Dunn is the only player who tries to intimidate and it embarrassing. He ain't scary.

From Hun article:

Campbell Brown rap sheet...

2004 - Suspended four matches and fined $5200 after the infamous Hawthorn-Essendon "Line in the Sand" game.

2007 - Fined $15,000 for giving misleading evidence at the AFL Tribunal after charges against Chris Judd were dropped.

2008 - Suspended for two games for charging Carlton's Matthew Kreuzer in the NAB Cup. Misses the season start.

2009 - Labels Matthew Lloyd a "sniper" and vows retribution after the Bombers captain KOs Hawk Brad Sewell.

2009 - Reportedly offered to Port Adelaide in return for Shaun Burgoyne but the story is quickly shot down by Hawthorn.

2010 - Joins AFL expansion club, Gold Coast Suns.

2011 - Suspended for four weeks after elbowing Western Bulldog Callan Ward in the face and a high bump on Barry Hall.

"Whether you call it crossing the line, I've done it my whole career and sometimes I do it and I try not to. I think I've got a lot better over the years, but that's just the way I play and if I didn't play that way, I probably wouldn't be playing AFL footy," Brown said after the game.

2011 - Axed from the Suns' leadership group after being involved in a bar fight in Thailand.

2012 - Suspended six weeks for high bump on young Crow Aiden Riley in the final game of the year.

Said Brown at the time: "I don't think it's something I can temper too much because I think if I do, I'll be useless out there, because it's one of my main attributes."

2013 - Suspended four weeks for rough conduct against James Strauss. He will miss the opening round of 2014 for the third time in the last four years.

2013 - Investigated over incident with teammate Steven May, that left the youngster with a broken jaw.

Pretty sure the bar in LA wasn't a footy field...

Talk about DH Policy can we have one here.

Someone who makes behind the play cheap shots is not intimidatory in my book.

He is just a coward.

Close thread. Should never even have started.

Great contribution. It's footy news, if you want to talk about other things like maybe Bieber's hotel room then probably not the right forum...

Regardless of what you think, Roos will NOT take him under his No D*ckheads policy... and if you think someone who breaks a teammate's jaw (apparently something to do with the bill in a restaurant), kicks a player in the head among other efforts throughout his career, is not a [censored], then I really don't know what would qualify as one under Roos policy. Oh and by the way, it was Arizona, not LA.

Moonshadow, look at Brereton's rap sheep, then move onto Leigh Matthews (Neville Bruns)

Lloyd, was a sniper!

Either way, I would have Brown on the list over Nicho. I'm not overly emotionally connected to his past.

Bruise free football!! Brown could show a few how to harden up. Plus he kicks goals

And even worse off field aswell.

So who out of Hawthorn and Freo and maybe even Geelong that put the fear into opposition??

How about we focus on winning games instead of trying to scare the opposition..

Get real Demonsterative these blokes wouldn't last in the AFL now with their record and all the rules. Stop flogging yourself over past snipers and get into reality. The bloke has just broken a teammates jaw and yet you think that's far more important that he should become a Dee then the Victims health.

What a true show of colour.. fmd

H'es not sacked-so you should change your title Stuie.

And there are parallels to Beiber as he is in trouble with the hierarchy of the Gold Coast on the very same day .

So if me and bing181 wanna talk Beiber we will.

There is no place for a player like Brown in TODAY'S footy unless he cleans up his game, on and off the field. And he's already said he's not going to do that. Regardless of who you propose to drop off the list to make way for, Brown is unwanted. At his age and condition, going the knuckle is his only remaining 'strength'. Edited by Moonshadow

Feel free to talk rubbish all you want, in the TS BS thread. It's there especially for posters like you and your "humour".

I do. Brown is a first class DH and a complete thug to boot. Nicho is not.

I heard Brendan McCartney say on SEN that for him when determining who to take in the draft more than 50% of the decision is based on character. Brown wouldn't even get drafted these days.

The Hawks would still have a dip. Fits them perfectly.

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
