That's all we need.

Roosies good mate from swanny land doessn't want the job of heir apparent to coach the dees.

Adam Simpson looks odds on now.

His career moves would tend to show that.

They actually have careers, while sacked senior coaches can be on the nose.

There is also some concern that we are relying too heavily on ex-Swans personnel.

who said that, Damian Barratt? lol

How can anyone be concerned we are getting people from a successful club and culture

Voss an option???

3 time premiership captain

Under the best ever Matthews

Lions coaching time was not a busket case

2-3 yrs under Roos to mentor him

The latest rumours say he is going to join Collingwood.

It has occurred to me too.

Not sure what the problem would be there, though.

I guess it just would feel like trying to get a band back together, 30 years after their heyday, when they are clutching for relevance and another boost of income.

Not that this would be anything like that.

i'm personally hoping it's scott burns.

he always looked far better in red and blue playing for the mighty legs than he ever did in black and white for the filth.

time to show his heart beats true!

(plus i always thought he was a terrific player.)

Buckley and Voss. I just can't see it working.

I can. As long as he respects Buckley's authority (and after being unceremoniously dumped at Brisbane he probably would) then he'd make the perfect hard man for Buckley's reforming agenda and young players. Especially if he takes on midfield coach where Bucks is set to stick by Josh Thomas, Ben Kennedy, Sidebottom, Beams, Sam Dwyer and possibly lose Daisy and keep Swanny in the forward line.

To be fair, both new coaches (Mathews and Allison) are from other clubs, even if they have a past at the Swans. Also, re Tudor, he has never directly worked with/under Roos, either as player or assistant.

With only a couple of years to get us back on the straight and narrow, Roos probably feels the need to hit the ground running with people around him who know how he works.

Hard to argue with, and these are only a handful of appointments amongst a (much) larger FD, where there are zero other ex-Roos, ex-Swans employees apart from Misson.

That would be interesting, Voss beat Buckley twice to get TWO premierships and Mr high and mighty left Brisbane to play in finals and win premierships.

How ironic

Any argument they may have all Voss has to say at the end is "yeah but I have THREE premierships"!!!!!!! How many u got?????

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
