Offer four years and big contract. Don't pay overs with a pick or player of Watts' calibre. Imagine if we could add Martin and Sewell to our midfield. It doesn't look finals bound, but it looks competitive.

The best young mid in the comp and some of you are hand-wring about behaviour?

Get him, get Garlett and any other kid who can win a break because this club is going down the gurgler without mids.

Sometimes he's naughty and I will not tolerate naughtiness.

The Richmond Football Club has been advised by Dustin Martin and his management of their desire to pursue offers from other clubs. The decision comes after months of negotiations, and despite being close to reaching agreement, the advice has been that Dustin wants to consider other options. Given the considerable effort we have put into Dustins development both on and off the field, and our efforts to retain him all season, we are extremely disappointed with this decision, Richmond General Manager of Football, Dan Richardson said. We are proud of the way Dustin has developed as a footballer, and as a person, in his time at Richmond, and we have been steadfast in our view that he is a required player who has an exciting football career ahead of him. However, we understand the business of football, and Dustins right to pursue other opportunities. We have also stated previously that we are determined to adhere to our payment strategy for all of our players, many of whom have already committed to the Club and its future direction during the 2013 season. The Club wont be making any further comment .

Surely worth a chat ....

I genuinely can not believe this. Here is a player, who we all know can play footy. The tigers have put every sort of procedure into helping him become a good footballer and stay in a position where he could find interests outside of footy to help his maturity. There have been countless mishaps from him and he has time and time again let Richmond down with his unprofessionalism.

Am I being harsh or is he being selfish and unloyal?

Do not want a selfish player on our list, big NO by me.

Well I want a good player on our list, so a big YES.

Roosy will be able to mould him into what we need.

Struggling to see what deals could be done to satisfy Richmond in all this if its not GWS he's going to (and their special poaching rules).

Would Martin be worth our Pick 2?

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
