What a beautiful headline...

What's the bet on Slobbo calling in sick to 360 all week next week?

nervous breakdown at the bottom of a keg of Johnnie !!!

All smiles before the verdict,. Can only imagine the conversation after the verdict. A bit like the Mayor of Hiroshima....

You will not see it in the HUN jnr.

However it is going to be interesting to see how they attempt to paint the EFC in a good light.

What is the chance of " Hird says we have only begun the fight "

One of my staff, is not coming back after lunch today, he is an Essundone supprter. He may have Mitch Clarks Disease. Could be a fair bit of it going round.

Off to the gallows boys.

HEART BROKEN.hahahhahahahahahahhahahahahahhahahhaahhaahahhahahahahhahhahhhahahhha

There's still the possibility of wet lettuce.

I don't even care about this, the players are victims, it was Hird and his insufferable arrogance, that I was concerned about.

I heard slobbo robbo say a while ago if this decision goes against essendon, there is absolutely no way hird can coach...watch him squirm out of that one.

prediction: massive fall out between Hird and Little and the rrest of the board, both wil be gone within a week

Why the long faces boys?

Oh that's right you're farked.

my twitter feed is just people retweeting journos from the time about how far essendon were in front.

its amazing.

Daniel Chan @bookshopaddict 10m

Awkward. RT "@heraldsunmick: Play resumes on Day 3 in Melbourne Federal Court, room 6k. Essendon 3-654 (declared). ASADA 78 & 6-45."

etc etc

Jacques Merde last seen heading to airport. Shame about all those planes getting grounded !!!

I'd be amazed if Hird, Little or any of the board at the time all of this taking place would be there for much longer.

I'd go as far to say as I don't even know if Thompson would be able to continue as coach.

Best thing from here that I could see for the EFC is someone comes in to take charge, clear the decks of anyone associated with this whole affair (barring the players) and show the AFL that they are prepared to work with them and the other clubs. Offering any form of defiance from this and fighting further will not achieve anything!

Score update, the merde has hit the ventilator.

ASADA 0/ 987 declared Essendon all out failed to score.

Edit:= Had a look at the EFC site. No news of judgement. That's funny because the AFL site has it.

The players wanting out must really be p!ssed off by Essendon delaying things by this fatuous case they brought. There is now surely no time for penalties to be imposed on players and accepted before the trade and drafting period. So other clubs have no information when considering trades or whatever as to when the player could actually next play. A seller of 10 foot barge poles will be making a fortune.

On the off chance that Port win the GF, would Monfries have to give back his medal if he's guilty?

This is exactly why they should not have been allowed to compete in the 2014 Final Series.

Oh well at least they were dealt with.

They won't make it for a decade or more now!!

:)

If you don't already follow Titus O'Reily on Twitter I recommend you do now. Plenty of gold today and he is a long-suffering Melbourne supporter like many of us.

who was the pelican who was tweeting the case like a cricket score and had Dons well in front?? Name and shame time

Bomber will be EFC coach in 2015, IMO. Can't see how Hird can be involved in the club anymore.

Correct, and if the players start leaving, there will be possibly be a case for afl assistance in coming years, time to start mending fences

One of the HUN cheer squad but I cannot remember his name.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
