Welcome Glen.

Are you a Demon Supporter as well as up for a massive challenge?

Who cares as long as he is competant professional.

He is....and he is

i don't really care, but i would like to know. A Western Australian comes in to be our President is certainly different.

Perhaps it's about time something like this happened. Or would you prefer someone old school establishment to continue the tradition?

no i am happy for new blood. Just interested as to why he was either headhunted or he chose this sick and frail lady by choice.

Apart from the tweet has this come up anywhere else

I wouldve thought Peter Jacksons comments tonight on the couch regarding the Presidency, in so far as how the process will be undertaken and to what involvement the AFL will have in the decision means that the appointment is still some way off, yet another journo guessing to try and get a scoop is all I would call this...

Could be wrong WYL but was he a foundation hero?

Good on him if he is PSD i have no idea at this point.

We need all the Foundation members to stick fat.

I don't mean to be rude, but are we basing this on nothing other than Jay Clark?

I'd be hesitant to accept this as fact without some other, more trustworthy source, confirming things.

If it's true, however, it's a great get for the club, IMO.

Whenever I think of Jay Clark reports I think of Anchorman and Sex Panther "60% of the time, it works everytime".

Edited by ignition.

I'm not sure either WYL, could be wrong but it may have been Redleg or another regular who said he was. Redleg if it wasn't you I apologise in advance

Stings the nostrils...

My understanding is he is a Melbourne supporter since birth. Remember there was no west coast or freo back then!

I know nothing about Glen... But I do know quite a lot about the law firm at which he is a partner. Let's just say, if he is a good and decent bloke, he is an exception!

Would be extremely awkward if you're all emailing him and he hasn't actually been appointed

And so it was. :)

I did and he is.

There are a few Presidents in the AFL that I wouldn't classify as good and decent blokes.

He didn't mention that in his speech on Saturday........which he surely would have, were it a fact. Unless he just assumed that we knew, him being a FH.

I wonder if he's any relation to 60's player , Maurie Bartlett. There is a slight resemblance . I guess he would have mentioned that, too, if it was a fact. He didn't.

I now get 13 year olds quoting me.

What a childish post.

Mate, pull your head in. Everyone is sick of your pissing contests and arguing semantics to create the illusion that you weren't wrong.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.
