AFL 360 - Robinson said could not think of anyone from left field to coach the Demons.

Cannot get much more left field than SHEEDY - last year at GWS - rejected by Dees a few years ago - now new Board.

Certainly one from left field!!!!

I asked a mate at work whom should coach and he said Mark Harvey, now that would fit the catagory of left field.

it wont happen.

I suppose this is based on Sheedy's awesome coaching record in 2012/3 with a win/loss ratio of 6% which makes Mark Neeld's 15% appear to be Vince Lombardi-like in comparison.

We'd be mad not to grab him.

Omg....are you serious !!!!exemplary coaching record at GWS .... NOT!!!!!!

Sheedy is someone who could convince me not to buy a membership. Nasty, spiteful, self important old has-been. I'll pass.

There have been a few slightly left of center names tossed up. Knights for one has been mentioned in one article. I wouldn't mind seeing Gary Ayres get a look. However, given the way the board is talking, I suspect we might well see Choko get the nod.

First Kennett now Sheedy????, I would have to get my footy fix at Casey. It would be hard to follow a team where you dislike the President and coach more than the opposition.

Left field might be Ayres, although mentioned he is not high on the list. I recon he would be great in Josh mahoney's role, hard nut with a good footy brain. Other who might fill that role out of left field could be Robbie Flower, he has the business accumen to run the football dept and obviously an understanding of the game. I seriously doubt he would be available unless he considering retirement but I would love to see him involved at the club again.

I feel he is a MUST have!

Don, Cameron and Mark go get him!

LOL

The pressers would go from total denial with Neeld to complete ambiguity with Harvey.

I've said in another thread if we're going to go left field and get an old (has been) coach then we'd be better off going for Swooper Northey then Sheedy.

He can't keep a fence around his pool, but makes you think he can keep one around the club?

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
