Sure we make him feel good and the interest is definitely there, but why see us exclusively when he can play the field.

As for Ling I don't see any position higher than an assistant coach (midfield role) - he has no training I believe. Having said that an assistant midfield coach or midfield mentor role would be perfect for him and he is well worth the money.

List decisions are being made because you have to make decisions, not because we have our coach and he is whispering what to do.

The easy decisions are being made and the tougher ones will be made once we have a coach I am sure, but don't mistake a list decision as anything deeper than an easy list decision done by a club that has some easy decisions to make.

Good call - A club can't just bunker down and stop making decisions whilst waiting for a coach. Fitzy is a good prospect and Watts is looking like a deserter - Fitzy is a required player (forward/rucks don't grow on trees). The suggestions that we already have a coach lined up are silly - the interviews are still going and the coaching selection panel are not going to just make a hasty decision again (unless its Roos - maybe then).

I think it is unlikely we will get Roos. That said, Roos is not the type of guy who will fuel expectations, while there are incumbents in current jobs. He will make his final decision at years end. Not sooner.

Yeah though the blonde bird (can't remember her name because I choose not to) interviewed him before the Geelong game at Patersons on AFL Game Day and he said he just wanted to make sure he was 110% up for another season and if he does go on, it will be West Coast only.

Still not too sure how much that holds these days.

Most clubs have some senior players/leaders when a new coach takes over.....MFC is the exception; they have none.
