Your point being????

The state of the MFC at present is disgusting. Are you trying to debate that?

I turn 50 on Sunday and i plan to party hard, so nomy life is not a black cloud.

After a 100+ defeat on monday i expect changes to begin.

I call that a huge positive. So should we all

Reading Satyriconhome's rants have taken all the debate out of me.

Was just making a tongue in cheek comment about how you've consistently tried to call when this house of cards will fall down, yet nothing.

Make sure to get the single malt out.

For me I do admire his passion, but I just wish we could over this losing games to get want we want mentality. This attitude is part of why we are where we are.

Your apathy to our plight sickens me.

It is not apathy which bit don't you get, it is not my whole life, it is footy, clubs have been through this before, I just want Peter Jackson to do his job and sort out the mess, perceived, real or otherwise........I just watch the footy, unpleasant as it is these days, and get a few positives out of it, and support the players who I like, and support the Club, coz I want to........as I have said before I use this board to keep myself entertained battling the Orcs from the Dark Side.........hate is a word I dislike slightly.....shouldn't be used in any context in life

i agree with you there. But i also think the Board should have stood down after Don announced that the Club would pay the Tanking fine.

It was admitting that there agenda was wrong.

We need change soon, so i can understand the Ox's thinking.

You cant really disagree with what the Ox is saying but its a shame that he comes out and write about it and then wants the coach to fail so he gets sacked. I doubt he'd be welcome at the club now but its a shame he couldn't help out earlier. How come he couldn't tell us what was said between him and Don at the meeting.

The Ox was great for our club when he played but off the field he was trouble. Id love for him to mentor Watts and get him going.

After listening to Ox on SEN explaining his article, I dont' think too many people can argue he isn't speaking from a point of passion when it comes to his words.

the Satyr is B - O - R - I - N - G.

A couple admire him, it's true, but if this was one of those TV shows we'd overwhelmingly vote him off.

How would it be to know that who you are is, you are Demonland's answer to Demonology's Dr Who? Tell us all you love that, it's so clever, you have us all in thrall... Poor bugger

Deeland Big Brother. I love it.

I doubt Satyr would care about being voted off. He'd put it down to everyone being out of touch with reality and simply return to his awesome and well rounded life. Damn, I keep forgetting to take him up on his offer for tips on good restaurants and favourite live bands..

we could all benefit from that wisdom i bet.

I'm a Stones man, which i doubt Satyr is.

They have outlived them all though...! Still touring...

I'm guessing Saty's taste in music would be something along these lines:

Ox's comments here make a lot more sense than his article. Except they are wrong about a win and further wins for the rest of the season being a band aid. It would be a monumental surgery and a great recovery!

Certainly paying for a review and failing to implement it (yet alone make it public) is just stupidity in the highest order.

Also he's been reading demonland it sounds like!

    DEFUSE THE BOMBERS by Meggs

Last Saturday’s crushing loss to Fremantle, after being three goals ahead at three quarter time, should be motivation enough to bounce back for this very winnable Round 5 clash at Windy Hill. A first-time venue for the Melbourne AFLW team, this should be a familiar suburban, windy, footy environment for the players.   Essendon were brave and competitive last week against ladder leader Adelaide at Sturt’s home ground. A familiar name, Maddison Gay, was the Bombers best player with

    BLOW THE SIREN by Meggs

Fremantle hosted the Demons on a sunny 20-degree Saturdayafternoon winning the toss and electing to defend in the first quarter against the 3-goal breeze favouring the Parry Street end. There was method here, as this would give the comeback queens, the Dockers, last use of the breeze. The Melbourne Coach had promised an improved performance, and we did start better than previous weeks, winning the ball out of the middle, using the breeze advantage and connecting to the forwards.

    GETAWAY by Meggs

Calling all fit players. Expect every available Melbourne player to board the Virgin cross-continent flight to Perth for this Round 4 clash on Saturday afternoon at Fremantle Oval. It promises to be keenly contested, though Fremantle is the bookies clear favourite.  If we lose, finals could be remoter than Rottnest Island especially following on from the Dees 50-point dismantlement by North Melbourne last Sunday.  There are 8 remaining matches, over the next 7 weeks.  To Meggs’

    DRUBBING by Meggs

With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.

    GARNER STRENGTH by Meggs

In keeping with our tough draw theme, Week 3 sees Melbourne take on flag favourites, North Melbourne, at Casey Fields this Sunday at 1:05pm.  The weather forecast looks dry, a coolish 14 degrees and will be characteristically gusty.  Remember when Casey Fields was considered our fortress?  The Demons have lost two of their past three matches at the Field of Dreams, so opposition teams commute down the Princes Highway with more optimism these days.  The Dees held the highe

    ALLY’S FIELDS by Meggs

It was a sunny morning at Casey Fields, as Demon supporters young and old formed a guard of honour for fan favourite and 50-gamer Alyssa Bannan.  Banno’s banner stated the speedster was the ‘fastest 50 games’ by an AFLW player ever.   For Dees supporters, today was not our day and unfortunately not for Banno either. A couple of opportunities emerged for our number 6 but alas there was no sizzle.   Brisbane atoned for last week’s record loss to North Melbourne, comprehensively out

    GOOD MORNING by Meggs

If you are driving or training it to Cranbourne on Saturday, don’t forget to set your alarm clock. The Melbourne Demons play the reigning premiers Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields this Saturday, with the bounce of the ball at 11:05am.  Yes, that’s AM.   The AFLW fixture shows deference to the AFL men’s finals games.  So, for the men it’s good afternoon and good evening and for the women it’s good morning.     The Lions were wounded last week by 44 points, their highest ever los

    HORE ON FIRE by Meggs

The 40,000 seat $319 million redeveloped Kardinia Park Stadium was nowhere near capacity last night but the strong, noisy contingent of Melbourne supporters led by the DeeArmy journeyed to Geelong to witness a high-quality battle between two of the best teams in AFLW.   The Cats entered the arena to the blasting sounds of Zombie Nation and made a hot start kicking the first 2 goals. They brought tremendous forward half pressure, and our newly renovated defensive unit looked shaky.

    REMATCH by Meggs

The Mighty Demons take on the confident Cats this Saturday night at the recently completed $319 million redeveloped GMHBA Stadium, with the bounce of the ball at 7:15pm. Our last game of 2023 was an agonisingly close 5-point semi-final loss to Geelong, and we look forward to Melbourne turning the tables this week. Practice match form was scratchy for both teams with the Demons losing practice matches to Carlton and Port Adelaide, while the Cats beat Collingwood but then lost to Essendo
