Who else here thinks..

Look i couldn't care less what the result is as long as at least half the players look like they want/deserve to be out there, the effort last week was a disgrace

I think we will have a crack but will get over run in the end and go down by 35 pts. neeld will go on to coach next week.

If you are referring to the first quarter, then i agree.

who else here thinks that Melbourne will come out fired up against the Tigers and maybe [censored] a win.

I think that the players may come out with a burning red hot desire to crunch every single Richmond player at every opportunity. I just have this inkling feeling.

Or we will lose by 100..

But im getting a good vibe, im telling ya..

Go Dees! i will be there on sunday cheering as loud as i ever have

It's funny you say that, I've been getting stuck in to a couple Richmond supporters at work today saying they're gonna get done - you can imagine the offices response though.

I'm sticking to my guns, you're going down tiges...

That vibe is just a psychological defence mechanism, sorry to break it to you. I feel illogically optimistic most weeks; I've learned to ignore it.

We are going to get reamed.

the MFC would want to be packing lube, and lots of it.

Going to be mercyless

I can't begin to imagine the analogies when we play Hawthorn. Some serious latent sexual repression here

We will get smashed......but there will be some positives for the press conference.

We will have improved our "left handed handpass efficiency from uncontested possessions" or some such bulltish

I look back so fondly on the days we could go to the footy and watch the toiges supporters melt down and eat their own.......sadly passed

I thought they would be fired up for round 1, then round 2.

I have stopped expecting the unexpected.

Last week we had "attempted tackles". Maybe this week we will examine our "attempted running".

"We tried to run 287 times, but it only worked 164 times. You can't win games with that kind of differential."

Here are the options:

  • We come out and play football the likes of which we haven't seen us play in years. Just as we did against Essendon last year, we pull a blinder out of nowhere, it stuns Richmond, and we record a famous win.
  • We come out and we play decent effort football, but, similarly to the Carlton game two weeks ago, we just aren't good enough. Tigers win by 30-50 points simply because they're better than us, but positives do come out of the game
  • We come out and we play absolute rubbish. Similarly to last week, we're flat, lazy, disinterested, insipid, and embarrassing. Richmond by 60 at half time and 100 by the end.

Take your pick of which one.

Yeah right, Stay to the end blah blah blah.....

If the players don't give a stuff why should we??

Because it's our club mate. The players might be lucky to be there for 5 years, while we are supporting it for our whole lives. Without us the club would die.

I would suggest that if any movie scene could be compared to Sunday's game, it would be this one.

Ironically enough, these blokes are pretty representative of the Richmond Grog Squad.

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
