I am, for one. Happy to report back about it to those who aren't.

Won't be too good if no-one shows up after last weeks showing, could seem like we've turned our backs on them a bit. I don't know, maybe I'm over -thinking it; still, I'm happy to go to support the guys, this week could be the one where our fortunes begin to change.

Yep, as an interstate member, I will also be looking forward to any reports that are posted. Thanks in advance!

Only about 10 of us here so far, standing under a marquee shivering. Poor souls. Of the players, Nicho, Barry and Stark are here at the moment

Dawesy running around with the group. Sellar isn't though

Could this be seen as an indication that Dawes may make a return in this game - ease him in and give GWS a headache?

Thanks 1994 keep up the good work. WIsh I could be there (although maybe not given the conditions).

Man it would be nice to have Chris Dawes playing forward for us right now.

Dawes and Gillies have left now. I'll just make note of all this at the conclusion of training from now on

Would be even better if we could get the ball forward...

Interesting that Tommy Mac and Viney left the main training to go run light laps on another oval (where Dawes, Sellar and Gillies are)

Would give the team a huge lift, if Dawes and Gawny ran out on sunday.

Probably enough work for them and to keep them fresh for Saturday.

Maybe, but not unusual. I imagine Viney will be eased from a lot of training this year to protect him. And Tommy Mac has had 2 big games since coming back from injury. Chasing Hurley and Darling around in a team getting smashed isn't an easy task.

If sure Gawny will but Missions injury updates are usually correct and he said no Dawes this week and 50/50 next week. Even then I think he'd be best back through Casey considering he played 1 mini preseason game before missing 8+ weeks.

Ok, I've left now, they were wrapping it up.

Final points:

- Jamar left the complex about half an hour early, after getting his back worked on. He may be doubtful.

- Kent looked very good (again). Maxy Gawn looked good too

- Dawesy is a running machine. Powered through plenty of laps. On the other hand Gillies could barely run, so regardless of form I doubt he'll play

- Dunny cut Blease's head open, leading to a lot of crimson being expelled, and of course, jokes about how his face matches his hair colour..

That's about it, they looked solid, but being as wet as it was, hard to get a read on their actual form.

Cheers

Was wondering why Blease had such a heavy bandage

How did Dunn cut Blease's head? We already know that Dunn hit Bail when Bail was wearing a vest telling players to go easy on him. We know Dunn is fond of rabbit punching on field but failing to go when it is his turn. Now Blease is cut?

More detail is required, but I reckon there is enough there is suggest that Dunn could leave now and we'd lose nothing.

Which having Dawes at FF would help us do, due to how his inclusion in the team would affect the position of other players... your point?

Hit him hard in a tackle. Blease stayed down for 5 seconds or so, then Dunny lifted him up by the back of his shirt, slapped him on the back of the head and continued going about training. Blease went off, got taped up, and came back on 15 minutes later or so. Was quite a bit of blood.

Don't think he did it in a menacing way though...was playing hard, which is what we need to do in an actual game! Do it to Scully, then I'll be happy

Watched Dawes when he went across to the other oval and he was put through a quasi fitness test, which he seemed to get through without too many worries.

Would surprise me if he played but he is not very far away.

The other one I watched really closely was Kent, still don't know why he hasn't played, every time I see him he just looks a ready made AFL footballer.

Likes it tough and looks to be hard at the ball with good disposal, just what we are screaming out for, maybe this week.

What a dork - he'd never do that in a game - at least not to anyone other than a kid or someone not looking.

The sooner we get rid of him the better.

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

Some veteran Demonland Trackwatchers ventured down to Gosch's Paddock to bring you the following observations from another Preseason Training Session. WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

A couple of intrepid Demonland Trackwatchers headed down to Gosch's Paddock for the midweek Preseason Training Session to bring you the following observations. Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
