I reckon we just play him in the forward line. He is hard to match up on because of his height he can jump and he is a great mark. Mitch needs help and we need more goals kicked.

Even if its just kicked in high he can at least bring it down to the ground for the small forwards.

Play him one out.

Easier said than done.

Opposition teams still do their homework on our players and watch how closely 2 or 3 players block his run at the marking opportunity.

This has happened to Jack Watts in his first two games - he has been tagged heavily to stop his delivery.

Play the Role Russell Robinson did well for all those years.

He was loose man in defense in the second half. A bad decision by neeld.

Russell who?

He's a different beast to Robertson anyway. He's a much better runner and works defensively, but he's a poorer shot for goal. I still support the idea of him rotating between midfield and forward to keep the opposition on their toes.

Agree 'Nasher', and he is a great let out kick for the defence.

His mark today was one of the best I've seen. It won't be rated that highly because the camera doesn't explain the difficulty, but it was extraordinary.

Running at pace, the wrong way, he leaps on his opponents shoulders to take the mark. Amazing. He was hopelessly out of position to beat his opponent. I've never seen a mark of this type in 40 years.

Thankfully it was "right in front of me".

Agree mate, it was an amazing mark. One of the best I've seen, usually they come from behind and get a ride but he came from in front, turned and jumped on his opponents shoulders without the lift.

I hate the spare man in defense, it just means the opposition is able to link up with a free man all over the ground and we just keep chasing tail. Always out numbered when we go into attack, a stupid idea, man up, i.e. one of our team on one of the opposition team... and stay will them.

My guess? He has licence to go where ever. Reckon he went back half to help out. Same as Clark.

It reminded me of Adem Yze actually. Used to do that all the time in his heyday.

I was screaming in the second before he took that grab, 'Get back, get back, oh f***, you've f***ed it up - ... wow'.

Don't agree. With the ball coming into their talls the way it was, it was a way of getting someone with a bit of aerial prowess in to spoil.

But it's the old story, dammed if you do, dammed if you don't.

I thought that mark was going to be a front on contact free before he jumped. Couldn't believe my eyes, he made it look so damn easy.

And he went back and took the kick this time, bonus points.

I'm thankful for some highlights amongst crap I watch.

We needed a link up man through the middle of the ground yesterday. When Clarke moved up the ground we had no one to kick to. Howe could of played as a half forward who then kicks to Clarke. Howe is too dangerous to be the spare man and he went missing in defense.

Look at how long he was looking at the ball and not the man for. His judgement is amazing, as without even looking, he was still able to ride on the shoulders of someone he couldnt see
