Watts holds no rage for me - just a sad, soft, tiptoeing footballer.

He is part of that poor culture and has no idea how to fix it because he doesn't play hard footy.

I've no real issue with the heat on Watts but there should be an equal amount of heat on the senior players.

Frawley, Garland, Howe, Jamar, Sylvia, Dunn and McKenzie continue to under perform when the going gets tough. And they continue to get off the hook. Collectively they don't put their hand up and show the way.

Apart from the odd game, when do any of the aforementioned players play well, when the team gets well beaten? They go missing. These 8 players all played in '186' and they never seem to come under proper scrutiny. They don't do enough.

They all have to be put on notice on Saturday night (by the match committee). Dunn is out injured.

And so we should have been, we had a great side and if it was the same side at any other club we would have won it, it was just the usual crap that we just didn't have the faith and leadership to get us across the line. The loss in Perth was disgraceful.

The day before the game the players were wandering aimlessly around Perth with a number of them in a pinball parlour; amateurs.

Robbie et al I reckon Stuie is right. Watts is saying that he and others need to work on their leadership skills. He isn't just bemoaning the lack of leaders - he's quite rightly recognizing the need to become one himself. I don't see why you're criticizing him for that. He was crap on Sunday but he did some good stuff last year; plenty worse, anyway.

Proof will be in the pudding, but I pray that he succeeds.

I don't disagree he needs to pull the finger out, but a fair few others do too, and most of them deserve more pressure than Watts.

It's just ridiculous how many in this thread (and Cummings himself) have either deliberately misunderstood what was said or don't even know.

All he said is that we have a lot of work to do to reach the standards of the great clubs and players. Can't disagree with that.

All the senior players - NB: Sylvia, Frawley, Jamar, Garland, Jones and Watts in particular should call the team together, like the hand bag Cats did and say "enough is enough. This is what we all demand. Hard uncompromising footy". It sure as hell turned their image and fortunes around....softies to Premiers in just a year or two.

Big question is - do any of our guy really want success, or would they just like success?

PS: and frankly I am sick and tired of reading how well we have been training, and more so what a great preseason we had - please remind me how many of ?six games we won or came close in??

This list of guys are just coasting but are meant to be our core players:

Jamar, Sylvia, Frawley, Garland, Byrnes, Dunn.

They have slipped under the radar due to our young captains, young list, and high expectations/hopes on our young players.

Everyone needs a rocket, and these guys are the ones who should be lighting it rather than hiding behind Viney, Grimes, and Watts.
