Now that is the biggest load of rubbish ive read in ages.

blease below average?

Byrnes poor?

Tuck and houli elite???

The football media has sadly become a circus,a farce,a directionless, out of control pack of buffoons.

Guys have you missed our 2012 year we were pitiful.

Jones is an omission and I am not sure I would list Byrnes as poor

But he struggled to get a game with the cats last year.

In our eyes some of these guys have potential.

But the media go on performances and most of these guys have yet to show IMO they are better than the ranking given.

When our results improve our player rankings will also until then suck it up this where we are at.

So shannon Bynes is a much worse footballer than Joel McDonald?

I would have thought Jones outperformed Grimes last year, why isnt he elite?

Clarke also.

You can't tell me that Houli is Elite and Clarks not?

That's about as good a post as the article quoted in the OP.

Clark played half a season and has had a injury that will delay his start to 2013.

I said Jones is an error.

Remember these are peoples opinions.

And remember a lot of these people would have seen a lot more Richmond games that MFC games.

Tippett averaged 1.8 goals in 2012, Mitch averaged 2.6.

Yet shifty Kurt is apparently "elite" and Mitch is not. Looking at some of the names on the list it seems more like they are going by media buzz than facts.

It's not peoples opinions, it's based on Champion Data's analysis (apparently).

Anyways, it means absolutely nothing.

If you take Tippett's move out of the equation, Sydney would be equal sixth for "elite" players with 3 other teams, yet they are the premiers.

They also say Bruest is Elite.

Is it april fools?

The Devil makes work for idle hands. Let the season begin.

Yesdy I bought "A Punter's Guide to the 2013 AFL Season" in which Jeremy Howe was selected on a HBF in Melbourne's "Strongest Team".

He was also rated as a Defender. FMD. What a waste of money.

There are lies, damn lies, and statistics.

And this is coming from someone who likes them and has a thread on KPIs!

And then there are statiticians...

They have 64 'elite' players in the comp. Where did they pull that from you ask? They same place they rated Grimes as a defender when he played midfield last year.

Just ridiculous.

Blease averaged 12 posessions last year. Whereabouts would you put somone who often has little impact on a game ?

Correct stuie my error.

Still think we need to get a grip where the MFC is concerned.

While we might disagree with a couple of players we were pitiful in 2012 and the bulk of these predictions show that.

Gee Old Dee, it's a beautiful sunny day, I am actually achieving things in work today, our young team had a battling win at the weekend, this article is selective and does not fully explain how the results were reached, all the names on the list for MFC did not play the full season, what the hell happened to one N Jones, there is a game on Saturday in downtown Casey where you can sit and be severely sunburnt.....what is there to be miserable about.....try not to encourage the hair shirt wearers...believe the Membership telethon last night with the players was resounding success.......

I am just stating the obvious Satriconhome.

These are predictions based last years results.

We were pitiful as our results show.

I have said Jones is an error, not sure what more you want.

This has nothing to do with what we might do in 2013.

I just get annoyed with MFC supporters constantly over rating our players.

When they produce the desired results the general football community will acknowledge that.

Until that ignore this sort of stuff.

I would argue that Jones is more likely elite at this stage than Grimes, but other than that I have no problem with the MFC list, it's a few of the others that seem pretty off.
