Looks like the game isn't going to be televised on ABC. :(

Channel 9 have three hours of "TO BE CONFIRMED" in their programming for that night though, which perhaps suggests they are considering sending a team up to cover it?

Surprised D-Rod didn't get the nod. Hopefully Aaron has a good game and gets some confidence out of it, really want to see I'm finish on a high.

Aaron Davey has always had confidence in his footy, the injuries and fitness issues have cruelled for last couple of years, spoke to him last week, feeling on top of the world

Heard on SEN today the game will be streamed on RFC and AFL sites.

That is it.

I read that the captain of the team is now Nathan Lovett-Murray which is a great choice.

I don't believe there's any need to discriminate against any of the Essendon players at this time over the other issue.

I would have liked Aaron Davey to be part of the team's leadership group. He really has done a lot of good things for his people and notwithstanding his last couple of seasons, I'd like to think he could help lead this side and do a good job as vice captain.

That would be a little unfair. 2 vs 22. Although with Nic Nat in the side, I'll be RangeRover would be betting his house on a Fiji victory.

Don't forget alipate carlile and tom nicholls too ;) Cousin and a familyfriend of ours ;)

Guys I think the reason no one is interested in televising it is that no one cares.

TV has decided low audience, so low interest from them.

I must say I agree.

My only interest is to make sure no Dees player is injured.

I wish this was televised, I'm chomping at the bit for footy to start..

Richmond will give them a belting I reckon..

Put in Buddy, Cyril, Burgoyne, Wells, Varcoe, Walker, Garlett, Yarran, A. Goodes, Brennan, Hill and Johnson.. I bet I'm missing some stars.. Oh Dom Barry..

Tigers would have no chance..

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had

    CENTIMETRES by Whispering Jack

Our game is one where the result is often decided by centimetres; the touch of a fingernail, a split-second decision made by a player or official, the angle of vision or the random movement of an oblong ball in flight or in its bounce and trajectory. There is one habit that Melbourne seems to have developed of late in its games against Carlton which is that the Demons keep finding themselves on the wrong end of the stick in terms of the fine line in close games at times when centimetres mak

    MELBOURNE BUSINESS by The Oracle

In days of old, this week’s Thursday night AFL match up between the Demons and the Blues would be framed on the basis of the need to redress the fact that Carlton “stole” last year’s semi final away from Melbourne and with it, their hopes for the premiership.  A hot gospelling coach might point out to his charges that they were the better team on the night in all facets and that poor kicking for goal and a couple of lapses at the death cost them what was rightfully theirs. Moreover, now was
