No charges have been laid as police are still interviewing witnesses."

I have read nothing further on any charges being laid, and the charge for his previous aggravated assault (for which he was meant to attend court this morning, is to be dropped... so that leaves just his drink driving charge outstanding at the moment and I would expect he will get the same treatment in the courts as any other drink driver.

Whilst Im sure Liam's circumstances are different to the majority of us. What choices did Liam have the night in which he's accused of using the Machete? Was he obliged as a tribal warrior to issue justice under 'aboriginal law' or were the actions he took due to being under the influence? I don't know all the facts so I won't pass judgement. As an outsider it does appear Liam's troubles are related in many ways to his abuse of alcohol & not just his life circumstance.

I didn't say our legal system is flawed, it's common knowledge that Liam got off because the lads were on the turps, which doesn't stand up in the courts.

That is what it is and at the end of the day, justice will eventually prevail anyway - it generally catches up to sociopaths who think they are above the law and pay no respect for societies rules.

You can say whatever you want, we will revisit all this after his next incident, which judging by recent history, will probably be in a week or so.

Agree with you WYL. Although Liam Jurrah takes ultimate responsibility for Liam Jurrah, Rubeboy and a couple of the other hangers on shoulder some of the blame for the way things have turned out. From day one I was never convinced of the purity of their motives in "helping" Liam.

Smarter heads than ours fail at it, clearly just ask every club with a failed recruit for behavioural issues.

While i agree about drink driving, assault etc You use emotive language towards Jurrah yet numerous times use 'lads' towards others who may have also transgressed doesn't help the point of view you are trying so hard to get across.
