FAREWELL MATTHEW BATE

It was pick 39 and there wasn't much talent after that pick.

Jackson Paine excepted, kid is a gun

I know little about the Bulldogs list but I know they had trouble kicking goals last year from their F50 entries. if they want a half forward with good hands and conversion they should take Matty Bate over those other blokes they are looking at.

It was pick 39 and there wasn't much talent after that pick:

68. St Kilda - Beau Wilkes (West Coast Eagles)

Could have taken Wilkes, and not had him kick all of his career goals against us this year...

Matty Bate would be a perfect fit at The Dogs.

Sorry for the bump but I was breezing through old footy videos and this was a "recommended video" next to our comeback game against Freo in 2008.

best watched with the sound turned off

didn't think it possible for an afl player to talk non-stop for 6 1/2 minutes

he must have been cam's protege at one stage

Wow..........he makes our Robbo sound like an introvert on Valium .

Felt he was a bit slow to change the direction of the conversation.

I resonated with his eeyore impression

(Yes I lasted that long)

At least we finally found what happened to Cam's whiteboard

It clearly didn't work with our football department...

Title should be "How I cave into annoying nagging people"

He's off his [censored] head.

Seriously, the irony in this video is ridiculous.

Girl breaks arm skateboarding. Has it fixed thanks to modern medicine. Goes on a water fast?

That really motivated me.

Nearly to vomit.

[censored], I thought he'd passed away.

Death of a high pressure salesman.

I must be pizzed/ drugged!! WTF is this all about??

Watch the video if you are still able to focus on anything without vomiting.

As it is Friday night this may present a challenge to you.

He is off his trolley.

Fasting is so unhealthy.

In part one he calls his bathroom his success cave and accuses people of not breathing much. It's truly wonderful

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
