OUT: Scully, Gysberts, ND3, ND12, & ND45

IN: Clark, Hogan, Barry, Dawes, Toumpas and Pedersen

I think we may have got the 2009 draft right...

Clark is indirectly affected but we wouldn't have him if HWFUA was still around.

He may be a great player but I am calling this a win for the Dees.

Hell, we got two three KPFs because he pizzed off...

*Edited after Dawes trade and for accuracy with Pick 3 and 4. Also edited as the pick we got in the Dawes trade went to NM for Gysberts.

Also having him in our team this year may have helped us snare one more win putting us above the Bulldogs in the draft which would have resulted with picks 5 & 6 ( 5 being Viney)

I am struggling to find a flaw in your statement rpfc.

Looks good to me.

Plus the ability to snag Viney in the second round. Let's be honest, that wouldn't have happened had we not had picks 3&4.

Best #1 draft pick ever!

The slight flaw I've found is that I'd argue he's also given us pick 4 in this draft. (i.e. without his comp pick, we would've had to use our first pick on Viney and would've lost our first pick in the draft).

So are you suggesting an even more complex tanking operation undertaken by the Demons for 2012

- [censored] of a former number 1 pick on a China trip, and deny his dad free hot dogs and pies, so he will leave us;

- break the foot of our most promising FF in years, mid season

That sounds far more complex than allowing Jordan McMahon to take a mark outside 50 on the siren, and through our sheer willpower guiding the long kick through.

Even Carltank could not have dreamed that up.

Time to start another deep AFL probe: maybe they can spring an interview with another cheesed off ex-player, Beemer in a year or two to "confirm" this elaborate plot.

So in essence we could also add as an "IN", Oliver Wines? (Or who ever it might be...)

Updated.

I call it a massive win.

The little simpleton got us a forward line!!

I think we all need to change our thoughts about the guy. We probably should be errecting a statue somewhere and call it "our saviour". I knew that he always really had the clubs best interests at heart.

Don't joke, we all know that anyone who lied to Jim Stynes' face doesn't have a heart.

And lets not forget it would have cost us $800k pa to keep him as well.....

Every time I think about this subject I get a warm feeling.

I really think we lucked into the best situation possible.

Edited.

HWFUA can be considered a hero. He has fundamentally changed our list for the better.

All he had to do was leave it.

Who'd have thought that a giant's hurl could potentially save a footy club.

Gawny's Wonder Chunder or Good Luck Chuck.

PAFC have ordered a dozen barrels.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

    TRAINING: Wednesday 11th December 2024

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
