The Swan's Morton played a top game today.

Just to really rub it all in .

They will probably end up with Morton, Gysberts, bennell and moloney.

Most likely turn them into gun footballers.

Mitch Clarke yes, but is it Nature or Nurture.

Is it Mitch himself or did he learn the Leigh Matthews/Brisbane Lions attitudes, or is it a combination of the Matthews attitudes + recruiting a young Clarke who has a Zeal for the 'Contest', in the first place.

If it started with Clarkes 'Nature' before drafting,,,, how much is it then, the Environment of nurturing this combative personality thru a healthy Club Environment, which Encourages it's boys to play 'Rough', without fear of silent condemnation from within some sectors of the support base???

Is there anyone out there who can translate this?

We all know the list needs to be turned over. But I would feel a lot more confident about the process if I had evidence Neeld could coach. Watching Frenantle now and it makes me sick that amateur Lyon was put in charge of our coaching hunt. We could've had Ross Lyon if we had someone with the nous to pick up the phone and ask Ross - Roos spelt it out on national TV. Lyon fancies himself as a journalist yet failed at the absolute basics.

Let's hope Neeld can achieve what needs to be done.

Don't you understand 'Nature & Nurture' & the learned behaviors, over inbred instincts?

Sorry, I'm not being smart. I'm surprised people didn't recognise this, & understand straight off the bat.

Oh, is that what you were talking about...... Nature & Nurture?

I know exactly what you're talking about - those they say they don't understand this concept are so disappointed by our players, they refuse to acknowledge the sad truth.

There are only four players on our list that have a combative spirit.

Oh, good lord. You two should get a room.

Now I've heard it all! You can analyse the psychology of our list from the depths of your darkened study? Oh please.

Hah, someone with some honesty.

And that lacking combativeness is the very thing we need reach into the cavity & rip right out, asap.

Do I get to lie down on some couch while I suck my thumb? I'm too scared you'll get on that '1965 is the root of all our problems' line again and bore the hell out of me. Thanks anyway Sigmund.

Onward and upward, hey?

Cheers and chin-chin, old chap.

Stiill suckin on your thumb boyo.. I'll give you a hint,, most here aren't here for you, & aren't interested in entertaining you.

I would say people are here to talk footy 7 they're thought s on the topic, but you carry on suckin, & thinking people are here just for you.

No. Watch the final series closely. Get better and stronger or die.

Is it true WYL when you lost your virginity you still remained negative.

Your fookin kidding yourself, you talk about none of our players being up to September bar Jones and Clark.

Frawley would walk into Hawthorns backline and Collingwoods, Jamar would play in both those sides as well,

Grimes, Blease, Trengove (our captain you write off at any given chance) will all be players and the little I have seen of Viney shows he also has the hunger. These 4 would all perform roles in all of the finals teams when surrounded by class players.

Put the noose and the sharp objects away FFS

Gysberts isn't perfect, but he clearly has talent.

I am more than happy to get rid of players who have been in the system for ages and failed, but Gysberts has plenty of time on his side and with glimpses of usable talent, it would be a lazy and soft option to get rid of him.

Neeld has to back himself to make something of these sorts of kids, otherwise what sort of coach is he?

Back to footy....

This is very true Jaded. But Gys has to want to buy in (I'm disliking that term already). If he refuses to get with the coaching plan and game plan requirements, Neeld may be wise to seek value from Gys in a trade while he still can.

I'm sure they said that both players had been DELISTED by the club during the week.

......they being whom? The H-S?

The success at the Swans is more to do with the 24 hour footy news cycle that Sydney DOES NOT have.

They take the 100 gamers and let them concentrate on Footy and then switch off after training and live their lives.

If they have ten beers in a pub on a Sunday after a recovery session then nobody knows and nobody gives a flying f%ck.

Make this an easy exchange.

Jordan Gysberts (ex-Pick 12) & Lucas Cook (ex-Pick12) to Geelong for Josh Walker (ex-Rookie Pick) & 2nd Round Pick.

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round.
