Where do we play mitch Clark then? And how do we buy a midfield?

If you build any part of your team around the reliance on one player, you've got problems.

Every team that has a single awesome player in any one area of the field has someone to back them up. Why there is this belief that adding another superstar to an area already with one would disadvantage the team is beyond me.

Fact is we don't have someone that kick be as reliant to kick goals as Clark is. Having two options...wow!

Story of the game so far is we are trying hard but way too many turnovers, North have scored five from our poor disposal.

But...excellent fight back giving us some value.

Real shame Watts and Clark got injured second half of the year, because I believe we would have won our past two, and who knows if they were out there today, we would be right in it.

When we have the ball outside 50 marking options such as Martin, Sylvia are trotting around "thinking someone else will do it, is it my responsibility to provide a target ?"

Lacking serious nous....

something many overlook in ther idolisng of thsi guy.. hes really not thatclever for such a skilled player. ( hes not alone though, not at all)

Occasionally see an opportunity as it unfolds...but thi sguy would never make a Chess player !!!

I think we did OK in that half. Roos are OK, nothing special, but certainly a top-8 team.

To be honest I am relieved we have a score on the board. We're playing OK.

Jones....gets better every game...is a star in my eyes....biggest heart in the club.

I think I can safely bury any reservations Ive harboured about this bloke. Too often too alone in this team Edited by belzebub59

The way Mitch Clark plays will see him in the emergency rooms quite often I reckon. Cloke is essential, not only because of the extra target he provides, but for the insurance he gives us. And we don't need to give up anything for him.

Eggzactly....Clark and Cloke would be 20% of our salary cap....!!! Edited by Wadda We Sing

But if they kick 80% of our goals, wouldn't you say it would be worth it?

As long as we have a midfield to get it to them, then fine..... Edited by Wadda We Sing

I could just see that 15 second goal coming. I don't know how many times that's happened against Melbourne over the years, but it frustrates the Hell out of me!

We won't be giving up any players to get Cloke, so I'd say our midfield certainly won't be harmed.

Two goals in a minute to start the second half! WTF is this sh#t? Too tired I suppose?

Make that three goals in two minutes. Edited by Chook

Why the [censored] doesn't anyone run forward when we win the footy?

Why oh why?!

I feel like smashing my head against the level 3 railing.

Nathan Jones is just about the only one preventing me from walking out.

Someone please explain to me why we refuse to have a target up forward. Any target. Even Spencer.

It's infuriating because North aren't great, and if we weren't such a shambles of a team, we could beat them.

Not fit enough to cover the miles. Blame Bailey for that.

Why the [censored] doesn't anyone .......

Because they don't have the nous nor foresight or judgement to do things themselves during a game. I dare say the instructions are to provide a target when need be. Not looking around and realising what the team needs (ie that no one is in the goal square) is about instincts and smarts....which we lack.

So much for that essay.

Glutton for punishment like the rest of us.

Sylvia is having a shocker. He just stood there abd watched Moloney look for a target.

Think he ll be in trouble after today. Neeld gave him a chance, end lf a day a tiger dosnt change its stripes.

Between AFL, Facebook, and just the internet in general, it's any wonder how I get homework done in the first place.

Seriously, wtf is this [censored]?

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
