At half time we have had 40 tackles to Port 19

7 more marks

7 more frees

19 more kicks...

27 to 25 i50s

16 to 22 clearances

We are hopeless...

Anyone blaming the players for this rubbish needs to remember how many of them were early draft picks based on their natural skills - what has the coaching staff done to change their behaviour?

It's round 17 and we're playing to the level we've played to pretty much all year yet you cry babies seem surprised.

I'm surprise because we're playing way worse than we did just one quarter ago.

I'm going to go and read the drafting threads. nothing left to see here.

Yeah but bringing more "talented kids" doesn't excite me as much as it used to. I mean, Toumpas Stringer and Wines etc sound great, but so did Trengove in 09, Morton in 07, Sylvia in 03 and so on. I just want to see us get good again.

Keep in mind this isnt so much Demons as B-mans

Jones has been quiet tonight. Blease has done absolutely nothing. I've noticed we've started to use the old Ashton Hams technique of leaning into the opposition tackle and earning bs high free kicks. It's about time. If other teams are doing it, why shouldn't we?

I don't follow your logic. We're winning most of these stats, yet you say we're hopeless. Help me out here.

Well at least there's one coach tonight making the correct decisions.

You are an apologist for the players.

because we cant do anything with all that!!!

There are two reasons for that. A: We can't kick for [censored]. B: We have no-one to kick to.

A is Bailey's fault/the players. B is Neeld's fault/injuries.

I feel sorry for those marines if this is the only AFL game they ever see.

Literally any other team would be beating this Port side.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
